I don't think...

I don't think we're getting Mike Williams, and to tell you the truth I don't want him that much.

I mean, I think with the Signing of Patten our Recieving Corp should be solid. We don't really need Mike. Mike is a big time player, he's a stud. But we've signed so-called studs in the past (Micheal Westbrook) who ended up being duds.

I think Coach Gibbs won't depend on the draft for Offensive help, I think he will do it for more defensive help and development.

I hear people say "We Need a TE" "Lets get Mike Williams" When we don't realize both those corps are solid. There is no need to improve IMO.

tight end ???

#1 Mike Williams is a wide receiver and how could it be set if our 2 starting wide receivers are on the trading block and we just picked up david patten who is considered a #3

#2 I think both williams and edwards will be gone by #9 so u better start looking for another receiver if u going to pick one at that spot ... otherwise maybe a corner to replace smoot if he goes

#3 Defensive help and development ?? wasnt our defense ranked 3rd in the NFL last year

I'm not saying Mike is a Tight End, I'm saying I hear people saying that AND get Mike. I Believe Mike is good but I also believe our Corp is solid.

And yeah our defense was ranked 3rd, but we want to improve the defense too, for example if we can't resign Smoot a CB, and maybe a Defensive End or Tackle. It sure wouldnt hurt.

I just don't believe we'e getting Mike, and I think its a mistake to hype him up so much because he might not be what we expected or wanted. Thats all I'm saying.

Gibbs being the kind of coach he is probaly will fix things more through Free Agency because we know he doesnt like to rely on Rookie Talent.

(Oh Yeah We'll Be Fine without Gardner and Coles is probaly staying for at least 1 more year. Now if Coles LEFT, I would say yes to Mike, but if he's staying there really isnt a point in drafting MW.)

yeah but you cant say that our defense was flawles...we definetely need a pass rushing defensive end...IF smoot does not resign and we are un able to sign a corner, we would address that in the draft...

I apoligize .. i misunderstood the post ... Now my question is Who the hell thinks we need a tight end ?? that seems like the least of our worries at this point ... Also good point about the defense .. I forgot about the fact our ends dont get any pressure .. I remember watching many skins games screaming CAN WE GET SOME DAMN PRESSURE HES GOT ALL DAY

Our WR corp is far from solid according to Gibbs. We signed a decent WR in Patten but we still have both our starters from last year on the trading block. IMO thats a far cry from stability. Mike Williams seems to be another Sean Taylor imo, he's just one of those guys who's going to be phenomonal.

Our defense needs work also. We lost our starting MLB who was the soul of this defense and a great locker room guy. Our defensive line is still mediocre IMO. We can't get pressure with just our front four on a consistent basis. We need a DE, MLB, and another CB for depth and I wouldn't mind another good DT.

I still say we trade down and pick up a DE in the first round and best player avialable in the 2nd round...

I would absolutely love for us to be able to trade down, but I can't see anyone really wanting to make the deal. Perhaps as things get closer and there is more hype or certain guys, but now it seems pretty unlikely. There just aren't any real stars in the top ten.

Are you serious?? A few names come to mind....Ronnie Brown, Cadiallac Williams, Mike Williams, Braylon Edwards, Aaron Rogers, Alex Smith, Cedric Benson.....These guys are legit studs and will make great pros. The difference this year is that a lot of these guys are equally talented so their is no incentive for a team with the tenth overall pick to move uo to the 4th pick to draft benson when they could wait and just take cadillac when their pick comes up. If we really wanted to trade down I dont think that we would have any problem doing so.

Sorry, I don't agree with you. A lot of these guys would have been late first rounders and even second rounders last year. A number of these guys will be busts! Erasamus James...Bust...Braylon Edwards....wont live up to his potential....Cedric Benson....Bust!

I like the idea of swapping 1sts with GB so they can get Alex Smith to replace Favre and we get David Pollack for added QB pressure. That could also maybe get us another pick in the early third where we could address the CB position.

One problem, GB losing lots of linemen...
