Excited About The Off-Season! (And the Upcoming One)

Man I'm so excited about this offseason, it seems like everything is coming together with the signing of Rabach and Patten. Who cares if we lost Pierce! We're making Key Additions to our offense.
If we keep up these small but important signings and we get the real "core" guys established, we could be the best team in the NFC East.
Man I'm pumped...can't wait to see what we do for the Draft!

couldn't agree with you more. Who cares about Pierce he only had one good season with tons of help. The addition of Patten was a key addition even though i wish we would of gotten Troy Brown.
As far as the number one teamin the East, i'm on that Band Wagon. The Eagles lose Trotter

... too bad, not, there number one LB so there D will not be so good. Plus Giants won't have a chance with Eli as QB and the Cowboys... they will just suck, they spent all ready this offseason too much money on not so good players.

I am just worried about our receivers/passing game. If the moves we make in FA in the draft resolve that issue than we are set.

The thing is, though...FA just got underway. We didn't make any major moves, which is a welcome departure from the last few years.
What we've done is we've fortified and strengthened known areas of weakness. This is really shaping up to be the smartest offseason in the Snyder Era.

You and me both! But I just read on cbs.sportsline.com that Burress is interested in the Vikes, and the Tice is compiling film on him....hmmmmmmmm? That would lead me to believe that Skins still have a slim chance of landing Mike Williams. Unless the other 8 teams ahead of Redskins, are more pressed for WR's.

Patten has been ahead of Brown on the receiving chart in NE for the past few seasons, Brown is far from the player he used to be. In addition, the only reason he got any pub last year was becuase he played both ways.
For the most part I agreed with everything the initial post on this thread said, but you shouldn't not care about losing AP. Pierce was a key-cog in the defensive wheel and unitl we fill his void with a capable starter that could be a plaguing problem defensively. He's an underrated asset and a monumental reason why Williams' system flourished in year one.

I can't say i'm totally psyched about the offseason so far... loss of AP was huge... i'm praying barrow will be able to step in well... he's getting paid for it... no reason to spend a lot there..
but i am psyched about our o line and i'm starting to think that we won't need superstars at wr and we could develope wrs... things are going to be so much better offensively... really... it's gonna be fun... and it's not like we can get worse...

Nice to see more and more of the faithful coming around =)
As soon as Gibbs inked the contract, things were instantly looking up. It's just going to get better and better from here on out!

I don't get why everyone is down on Pierce. I think his signing is huge for the Gnats. I still love the guy and wish we could have kept him. He is smart player and would have done much more if he was given the chance. I sure will be rooting for him when the pukes and gnats play.

I couldn't agree more TC. Unfortunately like you said FA just got underway, so Danny still has time to change it from the smartest off-season to the dumbest. However my gut says he's going to stay in check this year.

Lavar will pick up any slack from the Pierce void. By moving Marshal over to the middle and Lavar on the outside we will have an even better LB group then last year.

disagreement: Patten is younger and more agile....18.2 yards a catch last year..man oh man....this man is great..he knows his role and plays with his heart...I love him....oh by the way did you see him in the Super Bowl?
