I read somewhere that Arrington ran a 4.43 in college, that is amazingly fast and in Gregg Willians Defense he will be very disruptive and may have his best season yet because im sure he studied film last year...Arrington has had ad different defensive coordinator every year hes been in the nfl

Being that he did not play much last year, it is like Greg Williams getting a No.1 pick to work with. The team needs play makers and LA is just that a play maker.

every year we have high hopes for him and he is average at best.pierce made him look weak and shows he is overrated.Lets call it like it is on this one.He is the little engine that didnt do squat.Have we made a playoff game with him or a winning season.IF AND BUTS WERE COCONUTS WE ALL WOULD BE IN HAWAII.

... and if ONE football player could win a game all by himself, let alone one defensive player, that might make a lick of sense.
How did Pierce, who played MLB, make LA look weak?
The guy may not be the best linebacker in the league but that doesn't mean that he isn't a good football player... (considerably better than lemar marshall who took his place last year). The Redskins defnse is most definitely better with him than without.
Williams will find MANY ways to showcase LA's skills.

Thank you BH! My sentiments exactly. I'm glad I'm not the only person sticking up for LA.

Hopefully redeemed doesn't see this, or I'm sure he will have a thing or two to say about LA....

Boss hog-Ray lewis is almost that guy that can win the game for a team.dont say that is not true or LT was that guy too.LA is not that guy

PROBOWL TOM, like BH said not one defensive player can win a game for you. If one person could Ray Lewis wouldn't even be close to the top of that list. Ed Reed on the other hand might be..
As for Arrington, he is not overrated. Overrated means not living up to the hype. Which LaVar has, and will continue to do for the rest of his career. You really can't compare him to what he did in college. He was a MAN among boys there. The system was a lot different, and he could use his PURE athletic ability to make up for him being out of position. LaVar is a great player, he just needs a DC to stay around for more than one year.

The hit Lavar laid on Troy Aikman earned him his signing bonus.
The Pro Bowls he has started and dominated (watch the Pro Bowl tapes if you haven't) earned him his salary.
His work ethic and dedication will earn him a ring one day.
Look at his stats dude, and if you have game tapes watch them...he controls the field on many plays. Every player misses a few plays, but on Sunday the other team fears Lavar...that is a fact.

... never said he was.
What does that have to do with it?
LT is arguably the greatest ever, Ray Ray is arguably the best in the game today... so what? You can be a GOOD football player without being the absolute best. Lavar is a good player. He isn't perfect. He isn't even neccessarily the cat's meow. But he's still a football player that teams are going to gameplan for... he's still a player that has great game breaking potential - moreso than anyone on the defense except maybe ST. He's also a guy that has stood up and represented this team when it was the absolute toughest to do so.
You can say he's overrated, but to flat out blame the guy for the lack of success for the franchise is silly.

I remember reading a pregame article on Lavar that one of the coaches said that although he felt bad that Lavar was out with an injury, it made gameplanning alot easier. You see although it doesn't seem like it Lavar effects every play, the opposition has to make sure they have 2 blockers on him at all times. Therefore he frees up another defender making him a gamebreaker.

Thats right it takes two guys to stop Lavar so tit frees up some one else on the field.
