I would take a slow Williams, just because he is a freak of nature with a lot of ability and can be a big play reciever, but Williamson may be drafted a while later than Mike Williams so we would have to trade down which doesnt seem easy

Mike Williams. We had trouble getting the ball into the endzone last year, at 6'5" and 230lbs he would help fix that problem. There are scouting reports that say he has some of the best hands since Rice.

I think the Titans will take Williams but if he is there I say we take him. Gibbs may have his eyes on Mark Clayton , small guy with good hands and great route running ability.

Good point HR - we need a guy that runs the RIGHT routes so Patrick can throw to the spot where the WR is supposed to be...

Hmmm...based on last year a guy who can catch would be good. Anything after that is gravy. I'll go with Williams just because he's a beast. So what if he runs a 4.5-4.6 40. If a CB can't tackle him what does it matter?

Agreed, for a guy who's 6'5" and 230 he is incredibly fast. Remember, TO ran a 4.56 40. I'll take 4.59 and 4.61.

Mike Williams for sure. This is an automatic star in my opinion. How can you go wrong with a 6 foot 5 beast? Sure i guess Williamson is alright, but he doesnt seem like the lock that Williams is.

Sure seemed to be Mike a week or so ago! Now, I'm not so sure. Going to be very interesting to see what/who "happens" the next few days.

Mike seems like one of those guaranteed starts even though it doesn't exist, it just seems like he is.

I'll take a guy who can catch anyday. Mike isn't slow and he can get down the field, if he can make the 5yd hitch for a 3rd down every 3 plays then he'll be fine in my book.

Last year I feel we got the steal of the draft by pickup up Sean Taylor. This year I think we'll get another steal and pick up Mike Williams. He's 6'5 and ran a 4.57?, That's incredibly fast. 4.4 is fast, 1 second isn't that much off, and the bigger you get the harder it is to run a good 40 time. Williams is my pick here by far. I'd rather him catch 15 ten yard gains than pick williamson and get 2 40 yard gains every now and then

You act as though Williamson can't run those short routes and can only run the long ones. He can run those 15 10 yard routes and make the catches while having the ability to take it long on every play. This guy isn't short either, he's 6'2". I think Mike Williams has been overhyped the past two years, I don't think he's going to be as great as most people think.

A lot of people made comments like this on message boards last year regarding Roy Williams. Look what he did last year w/ a poor receiving corps on the Lions. I think Williams has the same type of big frame, and can go up and get the ball over almost all DBs.

Whatever WR we draft will have a great mentor in Laveranues...

Mike Williams by far. He has limitless potential. If he had played last year he'd probably be the first overall pick. We'd be lucky to get him at 9.

He's NOT slow - you'll see it in the NFL next year. Just becuase he wasn't in perfect sprint mode - he's plenty fast. It's much tougher for a guy his size to get in the blocks - and he ran just fine.

guys you forget that a guy 6'5 will overpower any corner, and easily get those 5-6 yard catches on third down to move the chains...thats what we need we punted way too much alst year

If both were around, Williams, no second thought. But as a fanatical watcher of the draft and eligible players, Williamson would not surprise me if he ends up being better than Willams. Size is not everything...just look at Plaxico Burress. He is good, but I would take Art Monk over him in a second. Willamson is in the mold of an Art Monk who was 6'2, 185, running a 4.45 in his day. Williamson is 6'2, 200 and runs in the low 4.4 range. I like Mike Williams, but he reminds me of Keyshawn Johnson, and as a Dallas hater, somethin about that hits me wrong.
