Clayton looked GOOD in the combine.

I don't see why people have to go with the Mel Kipers of the world...go with the guy that is a can't miss.

I think Edwards can be inconsistent, and Mike Williams was out 1 year and is a lil slow.

But Clayton looks polished, he catches the tough balls, goes across the middle, he LOVES contact, and he runs a good 40.

I think the Skins should trade down a couple spots and pick him. In the long run he may be better than Edwards/Williams IMO.

PS - this was after watching him in the Senior Bowl and Combine....he looks sharp.

I agree. He is fast as hell. I don't know about Williams. He seems to be in the same reciever mold as Gardner.

He also has great character, well mannered.
He seems like an "Old School" WR. Just what Gibbs is looking for.

He is not a cocky bling blinger. Just a guy that loves to win and deliver/receive a hit.

I also agree he reminds me much of Marvin Harrison, but hte problem is i doubt this will happen, because he will not get chosen 9th and I dont think we wil trade down, i hope so though

As I said in another post, I think Clayton's going to be the best pro out of this class and WR is a position that historically has the best players come from outside of the top ten.

If I were the Redskins, I'd trade down to the latter part of the first (if anyone wants in the top 10 for some reason), target Clayton. If he's gone, one of the DE's will probably drop or trade down again, even out of round one and stockpile picks to grab a few guys later on like Baas, Gibson, and Ware.

Clayton reminds me of Gary Clark - a fine memory it is too! I like him, but don't think he's a top 10 pick. If he's truly a target - he should be mid to-late first round imho.

Fine in principle... too bad nobody's likely to want to move up. Decent draft class... little superstar talent. Makes moving down a 'difficult' negotiation.

I wouldn't want to be San Fran. with this draft class they won't be able to move out of the #1 spot ..... how often does no one wants the no.1 pick

I think Alex Smith is the best fit out there - but who knows in the land of fruits and nuts.

I wouldn't be surprised if some team fell in love with one of the big 3 RBs and tried to jump up to as far as #9 to get him.

I think alot depends on Barron's private workouts. If he wows some people, I could see him sneaking into the top 8 and pushing a player down to you that someone else covets.

You can always count on defensive linemen to look a little 'sexier' on draft day. I hope so. like I said, I'd love to find some way to move down slightly and pick up an extra 3rd round pick.

But I personally don't see it happening.

i'm sure there are 5 teams in the top 10 that would love to move out of the top 10... that usually makes it difficult for any of them to accomplish it.

I would love to see Clayton in a Skins uniform, but then again I'm a bias OU fan. He is a Gibbs player for sure.
