WHY dont we move Lemar Marchall to middle linebacker... with arrington back i feel that would be a good linebacker set...that would solve our pierce problem and free up some cap bec ause pierce will cost a lot of money, i agree that lemar marshall isnt as good as pierce but he proved to be a sold player this year and now that we already have him resigned its a perfect idea

What about laying off the Caps Lock?

Don't forget the Mike Barrow may still come back and play. As for the defense...I don't care who we lose in the back seven. I think that Williams can work a miracle with any defensive player that we get. While, I would like to see improvments along the D-Line and more depth in the secondary...particularly at corner...I trust Gregg Williams to produce with whatever he is given.

hey chad, you cant just put anyone back there, these guys he used were hungry players. lemar marshall was originally a middle linebacker it would be perfect to move him there, and if we did that than we save money because resigning pierce will cost a lot, we can then use that money to sign smoot back or maybe on a free agent wr

This could happen...either way Lemar will see increased playing time this year.

But he is needed for depth...depending on Lavar's knee.

there may be a reason the redskins resigned lemar marshal first.........

I think the reason is because he stepped up when no one but Greg Williams believed in him. I cannot tell you the number of times I heard national announcers say he would be our weak link and he proved otherwise. So for a virtually no named player (to national media) to make such a solid contribution, they want to take care of him.
Wait a second why is this in the draft forum, it has absolutely nothing to do with the draft, unless there is another Lemar Marshall and I'm just very confused????

ok what are you talking about, there are a lot of topics not talking about the draft, and that does hav to do with the draft because if we move lemar to mlb...then there is no need to draft a linebacker like some of you said

How does this post pertain to the Draft or College...Lemar is a current Redskin and not a single college player or draft maneuver is mentioned?

Not trying to be anal but Niki had a point.

Check out the welcome wagon, that way you can get a good idea of the flow of things...

cheers,

no prob, point well taken!

HogWash is "Anything" Redskins...current or old redskins, horrible obstructed seats, hot/ugly Redskinettes, Dan Snyder venting, player sightings, etc.

Thats where most of the people post too.

Sure, in reference to not needing to draft LB's because of our depth... I gotcha. Still I think the talk of DJ in Texas is a bit too much hype for my taste.

What about Chris Clemons, is he big enough to play MLB?

No, Clemons is the smallest of all of them - the 'secret weapon' for his speed and pure quickness off the line. For that matter, Pierce wasn't 'big enough' to play the Mike - but he did a damn good job of it inspite of his lack of lbs.
