Every once in a while I've glanced at the "Most users ever online" count. For the longest time it hovered in the teens, and more recently it had edged higher. But just today I noticed this:
Most users ever online was 264 on Mon Jan 24, 2005 4:08 pm
What was up with January 24th? Just looks like a normal Monday to me on the caldender. The new record wouldn't have surprised me so much if it wasn't 200+ more than the old record.
Perhaps it will always remain a mystery to me (and perhaps I should get a life. . .)

Whoa.
That is amazing considering most of the people who sign up for TheHogs.net most no more than 10 posts and then are gone.

Really... the guy who has to make all the avatars might not agree.

And there's actually probably more guests than visitors EVERY day... some people are happy just reading things.
And then there's some people that post and post no matter how little value there is in anything they say... go figure eh?
... the most users online before the 264, was 100 and something... can't remember when that was... I think it was about 100 when I was on the Washington Post chat too... I think 264 was just a mass search engine spidering.
Thank god I don't have to put up with that many of you all the time.

Thanks for the love boss, not ALL of my posts are useless.

I think prior to it changing I had looked the date up and it was sometime close to when Joe Gibbs returned. And I agree on some people being ok to just read. I did that for a while before I posted, believe it or not!
