What about little talked about Braylon Edwards???? He has had 3 straight 1,000 yd seasons, all with 10+ TD's, this year, had 15 TD's. Played in teh Big 10, so he is obviously proven himself in a good league. He is 6'3", 205 lbs... so granted, could go to put on some more weight maybe, but he is definately strong and very athletic. He is also quick, and has great hands. I think he might be the best WR to come out of the draft, even better than Williams... b/c has he been keeping in shape with the year off? I am asking b/c I really don't know. What are anybody's thoughts on Edwards as a pick for WR??

Edwards remines me of Gardener, he drops a lot of passes and is not always there on game day.

Edwards does drop a good bit of passes, I think if we are going to take a reciever in the draft it should be Mike Williams, If he is still there at number 9

How is Braylon Edwards "little-talked about"? Mel Kiper had him going as the first receiver in the draft, at #4 to Chicago. Most NFL Draft experts have him as the top receiver in the draft, above Williams. I think we will have a better shot at Williams, and honestly would rather have him, even though he is more of a gamble than a proven 3-year superstar Edwards.

Braylon Edwards is not little talked about. He is generally considered the best receiver in the draft and unlikely to fall to number 9.

Quit talking about WR's with the 9th pick in the first round -- let's talk Wisconsin's Erasmus James...that would be an excellent pick. In prior posts I indicate that we should trade down but I don't believe we'll be able to do that. Sounds like the top 10 players are weak this year but there's plenty of good players after that. Why not get a stud DE here and sign a FA WR and OG? Third round draft a center. With the 3rd rounder we get for Gardner, draft a young CB. Dockery must be replaced, he's not a starter, he's an okay sub and that's it! Raymer had a bad year but I think they blamed him for some of Dockery's problems.

Ok I'm only saying this one more time. Joe Gibbs said we are using Free Agency to work on the WR position. I don't think drafting one is going to be the plan of action.

he said we're going to work in free agency to fill ALL our needs right?

so if that's so, and it won't be mike williams for our plan of action...then who?

Actually I'm speaking of an interview I saw with him before the call in show. He specifically mentioned WR's as a free agency need. Of course with all the legal crap he may not have been able to specify like that so he may have changed it to a broader statement.

I think James is the most overrated player in the draft so far. He's got potential, but I've heard people comparing him to guys that he shouldn't even be in the same sentence with. As far as DE's, I like Roth and Cody - but that's just me :0)
