ESPN on my campus

In my student news e-mail this morning:
Too bad I'm already wearing one of my U of MD shirts. . . .
The Calvin / Hope basketball rivalry goes back to (I think) 1910. If the students at my school weren't such bad fans in general (they don't dress in school colors for games, the student section tends to be empty, they read newspapers in the stands during the game[!!], etc.) -- except for the one Hope game a year when everyone goes crazy -- I might actually care. But, coming from UMD, I know what true student fans are--and it definitely doesn't mean only getting hyped up for a single game out of the entire season.
Still, there is a lot of history there. Interesting that they picked this as one of the top 10 greatest rivalries.

Subject: ESPN on Campus Today
ESPN is doing a show on the top 10 college rivalries in the US Divisions I-III. Calvin/Hope has been picked as one of the 10 rivalries and is the only Division III school to have been picked. ESPN will be on campus today, Tuesday, interviewing students and getting footage. As Calvin's community, let's make them feel welcome.
