Giants Predictions

Alright... let's start seeing some scores...

Redskins 27,
Giants 20

Morton busts another.

We are playing a team as down as the Skins are so I hope we bring our 'A' game. I couldn't believe how upbeat Spurrier seemed (for the first time as a skin?) at yesterday's press conference, so maybe it'll translate on to the field a little bit.

Redskins 17
Giants 20

I've got a bad feeling....and believe Fassel will do a better job motivating. I suspect the G-men will have 8 in-the-box to stuff the run and try and force Hasselbeck to beat them, and SOS will not adjust his pass play-calling to allow for short drops and quick hitters and sacks/pressures will follow.

ok...scratch that prediction....just did my research and found that 3 of the g-girl's starting secondary are on IR...sweet! Just what the Dr. ordered for Hasselbeck and our pass-happy playcaller.

What did we learn last week? When the Redskins use a short, ball-control passing game, they move the ball quite easily. When the try to go down the field too much, they stall.

Hopefully, Spurrier will remember this and we'll see a good ball-control game against the Gnats. If Shockey is out, they won't have a chance.

Gnats: 17

Shockey has been hurt I think.

If the DBs are on IR (which gives me reason to pause before we pick any of them up in FA like some have speculated on here) then we have a good chance because it might be that they overblitz to compensate or better yet they sit back in coverage and only rush 4.

Skins 24
Gnats 13

I've read that Shockey will be back this week.

Also, I think the corners being on IR may be to our advantage later in our possible CB shopping spree. Both are young and at least in Allen's case, the injury isn't major. Not sure about the Peterson lower back injury...that could be more severe.

With the Gnats secondary pretty much broke-d*ck, Coles and McCants should be able to get some seperation and be open if...we can establish an early running game and keep Hasslebeck off the turf. TOP is key to winning this game, and running the ball is got to be #1 Priority! That will lead to the beforementioned open receivers downfield.

Prediction:
Gnats -- 13
Redskins -- 30

I look for some frustration to be relieved on both sides of the ball, so look for this one to be PHYSICAL. :lowblow:

TOP, are you being sarcastic?...that's one statistic SS could care less about if you ask me.

SS actually plays for the TOP advantage each week. To him, however, TOP means:
