I'll never purchase another Acura.

Im done with Acura. I will never endore any of their vehicles ever again. I'm simply sick and tired of their lack of adequate customer service, and technical mistakes. I just had my transmission go out at 44k miles. This is a common problem in Acuras and they have been forced by the courts to bump the warranty up to 100k miles and they have many injury suits against them. I was driving about 40mph and my transmission locked up. Im not one who is easily stirred, or shaken. I've had things hit the winshield, along with other driving abnormalities happen and I dont even flinch but this really took me by surprise. Since nothing is hitting you the airbag doesn't deply and to have ur tranny lock and send you, your occupants and belongings crashing towards the dash is pretty scary when you're not expecting it.

So I drove like this for 30 miles to my Acura dealership, plus the car wouldn't come out of 2nd gear by that time. Dirving 50mph during morning rush hour traffice on 295 doesn't make u a popular person. I get their and the guy tells me that he can't help me because Im under 21, they dont give rentals to people my age. He was wrong as I eventually found out and had me waste my time and my fathers be having me call him to have him rent a car. So like I said I ended up renting the car and do they provide me with a car of equal class for their own mistakes, no? I got a Honda Civic.... Theres nothnig wrong with a Civic but would you give a BMW owner a Civic?

I got the car back today and it doesn't drive the same. Remeber when riding on ur bike and if ur breaks weren't properly adjusted they rubbed the rim and felt sluggish? That how it feels now. My car no longer has the nice bite that it used to. I'm sick of this car and Acura! This isn't the vehicle I purchased anymore...

Sorry to hear about your misfortune CLL.

I have a 1991 Legend - bought it used in 1996 and has held up well except for the usual maintenance stuff.

I only buy used anymore (actually about the last 15 years), too many good cars out there for a lot less money - bells and whistles included.

Anyway, hang tough and take it back til they get it right.

Sorry to hear about the car CLL

Reminds me of the time I bought a new Suzuki 1000 with shaft drive and the mechanic who did the predelivery forgot to put oil in the shaft

Due to good work at the factory it ran for 50km (on the grease that it was packed in when shipped) before the back wheel locked up doing 100kph. I can appreciate how you feel with the vehicle under full braking and no use of brakes

Luckioly for me the guy pulling the large boat behind me was a brilliant driver - he avoided hitting me while keeping the boat trailer under control - all with no warning whatsoever that I was slowing down

Interested in selling your baby at a highly discounted price?????

Seriously, though, I hope it all works out. Good thing you made it safely outta the tough situation.

I am glad you did not buy the hot wheels for it!

You should be able to get your money back.
