... what are YOU doing to get ready?
Tapping the keg?
Making the chili?
Last minute liquor/beer store runs?
Placing bets?
... is it a little early to start getting primed?
It's noon somewhere in the world.

I am actually on an Air Canada lounge in Montreal. Very tempted to start "tailgating" very close to the beer fridge...
In theory, I should arrive to my destination on time for the game... freezing rain and all.

Let's see . . .
Wash the wifes car, do some billable work, get some junk food, watch some UNC b-ball, the kick it til game time.
Maybe throw in a little X-box Ghost Recon 2, just for spice.

I'm probably going to spend the day watching NFL network. I'm really starting to like Rich Eisen. I didn't like him at first, but he's come a long way.
Did anyone catch Total Access the other night when they had Jeannette Lee on it? OH MY!!!

I'm gonna be making a last minute stop by the LCBO (aka the liqour store), watch some Toronto Raps ball, and then make my way to BH's house to get ready for the game.

Chili's on.
Pop's on ice.
That's it -- I'm ready!

Right now, I'm switching back and forth from Super Bowl highlights on ESPN2, Super Bowl XXXIV Pregame coverage on ESPN and Real World reruns on MTV.
Then I have the privelage of leaving for work at 4:00.

Every year I've tortured myself by watching about 2-3 hours of pregame coverage; and every year I wonder why I do that to myself.
This year I'm doing homework or other things right up until kickoff so that I can get that instant satisfaction that I love so much.

Just took the brisket off the grill, snack trays, booze (check) beer ( check), HDTV (check) numbers board (check)... and friends are on the way...
I propose a toast -- Here's to having the Skins playing in this game in the very near future!

- Dug out my copy of SB 22. Discovered my wife had taped over the 1st quarter, but the rest in intact.
- Primed with a copy of SB 17 that my parents made -- we didn't have a VCR then.
- Discovered my son made off with SB 26. Grumble.
- I'll watch Williams and Riggins and Joe T and the Hogs until this year's game starts.
- NO NO NO pre-game shows!

ps,
Son Dan the Redskins Fan v1978, who lost my SB 26 tape, said that he and wife SPC Nicole Welch will drive to Austin for the day, and "probably" watch the game. Significance: a week ago she was at Camp Victory, eating "meals ready to eat" because the commanders wanted no one to gather at mess tents during the Iraqi election weekend. She and her unit got home Friday afternoon.
This is a public sigh of relief; not a political statement or a suggestion that we need to have another Iraq war debate, by the way.

I'm back!
I might play basketball with my brother in law in a few minutes. The weather is beautiful in MD right now.

halftime sucks 99.99% of the time. why the hell can't they just show highlights and hits from the year of football? thats what i tuned in to watch..... football. mtv is on directv channel 331, and i don't tune to that channel just because i don't want to see this type of crap.

I'm in the minority, I thought it was classy and sounded great. The stage was cool and all-in-all, it was one of the best I've ever seen... and I've seen almost all of them.

I am with you on this one Scooter - you are not alone. May have something to do with the Over 40 Club we represent here at theHogs.net.

I'm far from 40, and I thought it was a pretty good halftime show. 'Course I can't stand the current 'pop' music, so something different was nice.

I agree, and from one fan to another, my condolences.

Yep, Im under 30 (for a few more months anyway) and I thought it was pretty decent. It was the first in a while where you couldn't really tell he was lip syncing.

Geeee... I am disappointed. I thught this thread was going to turn into an inter-generational battle as others have.
The show was great. Music was great. But the graphics and fireworks with the music were awesome.
Those who want to see another "accidental" skin show can at least pick a more classy act.
