I just read the article on the 2005 hall of fame class. The thing that struck me as odd,why did they put three Qb's in there at the same time.I think that the staff of the hall of fame should be let go of there dutys. What were they thinking?I could see putting one qb in there but marino and young havn't been out of the game all that long.Someone needs to tell these guys that the there are other places besides q.b and running back that are important.I DONT THINK IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE SPORTS WRITERS DOING THE SELECTION,CAN YOU SAY NOT FAIR,LETS DO IT FOR THE STORY HEADLINE.

I think kicking Peter King's ass out of the voting would be a nice start. That dumb prick won't ever vote Monk in. He has backed himself into a position and his ego won't ever let him change his mind. The HOF voting is a complete joke.

I watched my of tape SB 22 as a pregame...wife had taped ER over the first 8 minutes, but picture is still great, though the sound is getting tinny.

Striking thing om the first drive after the Denver FG (8 minutes left on Q1): Skins runs twice to the left, lose 6 yards. ABC rolls a sub head saying, cheerily, "No team has ever come back to win after being more than 7 points down". Dierdorf chips in, "And the Redskins are 10 points down!" He and Gifford build up the Denver defense, "They smell blood".

It's third and 16 from the Redskins 10 yard line, and again Dierdorf observes, "This a a key play. The Redskins have to scour their play book to find anything that will get a first down." He sounds skeptical, as he has all game.

Williams fades, hits Art Monk about 20 yards down to the left on a pass above the defender, who leaps and gets a hand in to spin it end-over-end. Monk grabs it off the defenders finders, like a vice grip, and runs away another twenty yeards down the sideline. He's knocked down and limps, with Al Michaels mentioning that Monk has not payed since December 6 because of a knee injury, but neglecting to mention that Monk still has a sprained knee.

A perfect Monk play. He glides, he muscles the ball, he glides. Like watching TO today, but without the histrionics.

Yet another reason for Monk in the HOF. So Monk wasn't a deep threat? Without that catch, the Redskins would have punted from their goal line wuth Denver leading 10 - 0.
