Soda. Although I don't use it...you left off Soda-water. I would say "coke" would also rank up there.

they say "pop" up here in Michigan, but I wish that was the worst of what they do differently. . .

I voted SODA

I agree with Texas Hog, you left of "coke." That's what I call everything. :)

Coke for everything?

But what if you want a grape, orange, rootbeer, cream, or blackberry soda?

Well, I don't generally drink grape, orange, or blackberry flavored carbonated beverages, so I don't call them anything.

Rootbeer is rootbeer, cream soda is cream soda.

I was born and raised in the south and I never hear anyone call it pop. We call it soda.

I know in PA, they call it pop.

In Maryland, we differentiate between Coke and Pepsi.

It's just soda.

That place is practically another country. They're completely backwards out there, and it's a bit scary.

:hmm:

So, do you think Duce Staley was the curse? I mean, he left the cursed Eagles and their curse is gone, then he goes to the Cursed Bill Cowher Steelers and his curse lives on...

You know, I actually said that to my dad while we were watching the AFCCG.

My first job here in MD/DC was working the window at McDonald's and everyone would order a hamburger and soda (or soader)...I'd look at them and think "what kind of soda you @!@(*&)$"...But of course I'd nicely tell them what we had and then ask what size they wanted...(usually it was a medium orange...)

I had never heard of "pop" until I went to college in the midwest.

(Likewise, in California they automatically put mayonaise on hamburgers. Oh, the strange regional tastes!)

Down my way, its Soda. I had a guy move from Minnesota and we became friends, but the first time he asked for some "pop" I didn't know what the hell he was talking about.
