Someone please tell me why "we have to keep him."

He has shown me nothing of why to keep him othert than he tackle blocks.I meean; he costs moe than he is worth.

because last season he caught six tds and has great size and hands. He will be an excellent receiver in due time.

Sorry I meant last season..... when has he gotten to prove himself, if we let him go, we watch him make plays on another team.....

we dont have to keep him. we should get rid of him and gardner and get a WR that can catch 20+ yd passes

He might not have shown much, but niether did our other recievers. What we really need is a quarterback who can get the ball to em.

Ramsey has a great arm that can get it to them. We need WRs that can catch.
I dont get how people say we need another Qb.. We dont. Ramsey showed great improovement and now with the West-coast style from Musgrave weel be good to go

Yeah we need recievers, they're by far the weakest part of out team. Ramsey will be a really good NFL qb. Okay he's not a scrambler, but you see how Vick did today. Scrambling quarterbacks are great in the regular season and are horrible in the postseason that is how its always been. You will see next week when Philly plays New England.

since we suck in the redzone i didnt see why we didnt use Darnerian on the goal. just have Patrick lob it up to him and he'll catch it. we should have used him more.

When did Dar even get a chance to prove himself this year?

We don't need to keep him, but we don't need to replace him neither. He's an adequate WR who can get the job done while we address more pressing concerns.

The only reason he was inactive for most of the season was he did not play special teams, I think we keep him, he has good hands, and has a nose for the endzone.

I think that we have serviceable WRs in Taylor Jacobs and especially James Thrash. We'll prob. grab a WR with the first pick if its not traded for Randy Moss. I think thats dumb also, if its going to involve No. 1, No. 2, AND Arrington...

guys stop thinking that were going to get Randy Moss. The player has the worst attitude. He walked out on his team. And we cant trade lavar because there would be 15 mil. dead money.

I think Darnerian or Darkerian if you ask Spurrier, all but wrote his exit speech last night on comcast sportsnite. His quote which was something along the lines of "well if they want perfection at practice then im never gonna play for that guy" and "I never got a straight answer for why I wasn't playing." I can't imagine he is content on being here and with the Iverson like Practice, practice, practice, practice chants, that guy, better known as Coach Gibbs would have Riggo back running 50 gut faster than Darkerian will be seeing the locker room at Redskin Park.

I can see where Darnerien is frustrated. He wants to play ball and he said in his "interview" on Comcast - he's human - he makes mistakes better in "practice" or "gametime"? He was not given a chance this season and he HAS been given a bunch of BS excuses. Gibbs himself said on TV in answer to my email that he was a playmaker and he was going to get him on the field more. Well, I guess he didn't "lie" but he put him on the field as a "decoy" when Portis was going to "run the ball". It's sad. Darnerien will probably be somewhere else next season and he will probably be actually "playing" and he will probably come back to "burn the Skins" as so many have in the past. I wish him well, wherever he ends up. He's got talent and he will be a great receiver if given the chance.

:hmm:

This explains a lot to me. Sounds like a Artest to me....except Artest is an all-star.

Well, I would say when you're "inactive" every game it's a good thing to be concerned with something else !

Oh...and by the way...you can't be an "all-star" unless you're ALLOWED TO PLAY !

This is one of the most confusing situations the Skins have faced this season. He is a good receiver who was paid a good amount of money... to warm up the bench (the inactive bench that is).

I just think this was weird. One day we will learn from Gibbs what was the reason, maybe...

This really sucks! A few weeks ago it sounded like Smoot was working his way out of town and now its McCants. Except McCants really did want to stay here. I hope Coach Gibbs can work it out and keep him here. If not, Oh well. I gotta trust that Coach Gibbs will do whats best for the Redskins.

I read that to mean that the rumor he is dispelling is that he is more concerned with his music, not that he actually was 2cents

Ramsey is not suited for the West Coast Offense...and Musgrave isn't going to make that big of a difference for us... It was just a smart move picking him up... anytime you can have a former Offensive Coordinator as a position coach, that is huge... it just makes the coaching staff stronger...

preseason and practices... and obviously he didn't show enough to make the final roster...it is a pure numbers game... gibbs offense needs multiple TE's... and we are very deep at WR... I don't think McCants ability is in question... but he just isn't better than Thrash or Jacobs... would you drop Thrash or Jacobs in favor of McCants... that is the real question... and Gibbs likes Thrash and Jacobs better...

Gibbs knows best....

Nope, I wouldn't drop Thrash or Jacobs in favor of McCants. I would drop Gardner in favor of McCants. I think McCants has shown enough to be given a shot at the starting position. He almost never drops a pass. He always gets open in the Red Zone. He can break tackles. He is willing to play special teams if he can just get on the field.

I think Sonny Jurgeson said it best, "Good things happen when you go to Darnerian McCants".

I truely don't see how McCants showed more this year than Jacobs or Thrash. Especially not more than Thrash.
