What do you all think about this one. I am not sure about it, but if he is what they say he is I think it's a good move. Wr is by far or most pressing need. None of the three Thrash, Mcants, or Jacobs has shown me they can start. Coles is a excellent No.2 but I am not sold on him as a no.1. I think that Gardner sucks. Getting a good No. 1 should be the top priority this offseason. Well center also. Those are I think the most pressing needs. Say what you want about De but Lavar will be back and that will and Clemons on the roster full time spot will increase our pass rush anyway. Mohammad is 32 and Plaxico I am not high on his inconsistency and work ethic. I think this mock draft also got us a second round pick also.

I'd do that trade down stuff, but im not sure Troy would be their at the 29 pick.

In regards to the second trade, why would we move down 5 slots in the first round to only obtain moving up 7 slots in the second round (from 24 to 29 in round 1, and 41 to 34 in round 2). First round picks are much more valuable than second round picks. You see teams trade away future first round picks to move up 5 slots in the first round so that move would not benefit us at all. What we need to do is stay at #9 and draft either Mike Williams or Braylon Edwards at that spot. If they are both gone then we should take Antrel Rolle if we lose Fred Smoot.

:puke: rod gardner is a wr who played college ball in south carolina(clemson). those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

I would not hold Rod Gardner against every Wr that has ever played down south. This is just stupid

So basically you thought Aman Green was gonna suck in the pro's because Lawernve Phillips was from Nerbraska also. Just man up to it. Or its likt saying I wouldn't have drafted Shaq because Stanely Roberts was another center from LSU in the same mold. NO your thought was stupid and childish. Just man up to it. Every player is different. NOt all players are the same. Even if they are in the same position.

I don't know this isn't my mock draft, I have never heard of this guy. I like the idea of getting a reviever and a second round pick.

again, it's obviously over your head, and under my butt. perhaps you didn't even catch a hint of sarcasm in either of the above posts? or, perhaps, too narrow minded to take things with a grain of salt.

but yea, i man up to it, i'm stupid, and childish. i'll even put on my dunce hat again if it makes you feel any better....Image

Hailskins6666 if you think this guy sucks thats fine. I never seen him play or heard of him, but to say he won't be good without seeing him play because he went to college in south Carolina is stupid. If you seen him play and think he sucks tell me why.

i would, but you might take it too seriously. ;)

lets see. you defend him to an extent but don't even know who he is? ROTFALMAO

living in NC, i get to see a few SC games, and needless to say he didn't impress me. had a whooping total of 835 yds on the year. real impressive. ranked top 25 at best in the nation. his best stat is ypc. but yet i can't throw out a joke his way? please. do a little research, then spout your garbage. but like i said to begin with, it was a joke... SC/clemson WR in the first round, or do you still not get the joke? i give up.
maybe i'm just stupid.

If you didn't think he was any good thats fine. I just wouldn't base something off another player in a different and a completely different league. The ACC in football a joke beside UM, VT, and FSU. I know you said it said it was a joke I can't tell by reading something. All words are the same, talking there different tones but when one reads they all sound the same. SC is in the SEC a legit confrence. He sounds good but I don't know, I never seen him play. If he sucks than I am against it. Physically what does he lack or is it mental. Because Roy Williams wasn't good his last year in college but he did pretty well this year for Detriot. The reason his numbers weren't good his last year in college is because he had a crappy Qb throwing to him. Fitzgerald had great numbers and he sucked this year. Telling me people's numbers doesn't convince me of anything.

I get what you're saying Big John - no trouble here bro. I hope poeple don't shy away from Benson because of Ricky Williams! It would be their mistake.

durrr. me stooopid.

ok. fine. you didn't get it from the way i worded it. my bad. maybe i should have thrown a smiley in there. i never said he sucked. i never said gardner sucked in this thread either. all i said is a WR from a SC college, then the saying of those who don't learn from their past are doomed to repeat it. i thought that was enough. it's just like sayin i'm skeptical of drafting heath miller because i don't wnat to risk it on anymore "heaths". obviously you can't judge a guy by his name or school, but from now on, i'll stop making my stupid, childish jokes, hopefully to benefit the rest of the board. ;)

When I said I know you meant it as a joke. I meant I know now, not when I first read it. When I first read it I didn't think it was a joke I thought you were serious. I am sorry, if I knew it was a joke I wouldn't have said anything. No harm everything is cool.

I don't think they will he will be a real star. If there was no cap, I would trade Portis and get him. But we invested money in Portis so they have to make it work with Portis.
