Let's Get Serious

What are our real off season needs:
1. More creative plays - hired Bill Musgrave
2. OL gave up way too many sacks - upgade OL (C, OG and TE)
3. Receiving core not consistent - trade Gardner and rely on Jacobs, Thrash and McCants
4. Improve special teams play - upgrade ST players
5. Solidify DL - upgrade DE
In my opinion these are the ranked prioriies.

We're all serious. All of those have been noted before...

I think the dline is fine. We will use LaVar at end. We just need to resign our free agents. We should trade McCants, Morton and Gardner for picks and upgrade our receiving corps. We need to concentrate our draft on the offensive line and perhaps corner if Smoot leaves. We should trade down for more picks. The most important thing is no more expensive free agents because we have too many as it is. I think you can fix special teams by playing more starters on special teams like the Pats do.

We need to acquire a reciever, none of those three are starting material. They need to acquire someone that is like 6'3 and can really get down field.

If you think our D-line is fine, clearly, you have not watched any games. Noble and Griffin are great against the run, but are not great pass rushers. The DEs just dont seem to do anything. They just get no pressure against a decent O-line unless we bring an exta line backer or two.
Our special teams got alot better when A. Brown (is that right?) came in, hes just increadibly fast.
Dont forget how when LaVar was plaing end, he hated every minute of it, thats basically what he said in an interview I read somewhere a while ago.
GoSkins, I think you nailed it as far as what we need. Except fot OG, Buges seems to like Dockery.

I think it is you who have not watched the games. LaVar and Philip Daniels played two games a piece. The defense is fine. The offense is what needs help. We finished in the top five on defense with one of the worst offenses and a defense that only started two people in the same position for sixteen games. Believe me the d is fine.

Lavar will play weakside linebacker. Just because Lemar Marshall had a decent year doesn't mean we should relegate lavar to a position he detests playing.

I think drafting speed guys and signing known special teams commodities would fix the special teams problem. Speed kills.

I think we should look into getting Plaxico in free agency as long as he can resolve his "me,me,me" issues.

Plazico is going to want serious coin, more than we should spend.
Big ups on Dimebag Darrell signature. I cried when I heard he was killed.

I dont care where he wants to play. That is the position we need him to play.

He isn't big enough to play the position on a regular basis, situational is fine. Lemar can be the third down linebacker. Lavar is a great player at the weakside linebacker, Lemar is good, but he's no Lavar.

Thats why G. Williams is the defence coach and you aren't. You seem to be the ony one that thinks it would be a good idea to put LaVar in at DE, and you seem to think Williams will actually do it. LaVar was under a different D quardinator when he played end. I ask again, have you seen any of the games? Have you seen Williams putting in linebackers at the DE sopt? No, he put in Ryan Boschetti, an undrafted rookie, who plays DT, in at DE before putting in a line backer becuase of injuries.
LaVar will not be playing DE, and we need a speed rushing DE.

I agree we need a pass rushing DE. But we have higher priorites on offense; C, OG, TE, WR, and 3rd down rusher.
