I think he's gotta take the money and try to kick-start the 49ers. Joe Montana and Steve Young would volunteer to help him.

I think if he stayed... It would say alot about him and how he is commited to his team, his self improvement, his coach, etc... I think it would take alot of guts and self confidence to stay.... but on the other hand, he'd be crazy to not secure his future right now coming off of a great year and great championship game, not to mention his heisman...

does etc = college hotties.
I would jump to the NFL. He has reached the top in college and doesn't have anything left to prove - just get the degree eventually.

I won't blame him for either decision he makes; however, if I were him, I'd be leaning towards entering the draft this year. There is simply no way he can improve upon his game next year in college (if he stays) and he would only hurt his pay day down the road if he stayed in college. The time is ripe now to enter the NFL.

The Niners need a QB, but I think Leinart is waiting to see who takes the coaching job. It would suck for the Niners to take Leinart, and then hire a coach who, for instance, who want to develop Ken DOrsey, instead.

Let's go and get a great teaching coach for the 49ers.
Let's go and suggest Steve Spurrier!

It would take a couple of years after that for the poor kid to un-learn all the bad techniques and recover from the shell-shock.
Naaaahhh, just kidding. I do not hate the 49ers that much after all.

guess there's no need to vote...WOW! I know the LA and college hotties are nice, but this guy sure is taking a large monetary gamble.

Good choice Matt. Way to be a man and realize that Football isn't about money, its about having fun.

I'm shocked, dismayed and perforgandorized - here's a $20,000,000.00 check for signing your name... nah, no thanks.
It would be different if he still had to work on his game, if he wasn't the best in college football, if he'd made a promise to a dying loved one...
I still say there's video of him and a farm animal some place!
