Randy Moss??

In today's Washington Post chat with Jason La Canfora, he mentioned several times that he thinks Snyder will try to pursue a trade for Randy Moss (see link). I thought that was interesting. While I'd love to have a playmaker like Moss, I'm really not sure how I feel about that since he's such a punk.

I'd take him, he needs to grow up but I think he is almost there. Looks like he gets more mature every season. I'd love to see Moss, Coles, and Portis play against McNabb and TO twice a year!
PS, the dude from the Washington Post copied that from the Inside the NFL episode on Wednesday. They brought that up, that Randy Moss could be dealt in an attempt to rebuild when the owner sells.

I dont know about Moss, I know he is a straight up monster due to his speed and hands. He draws double coverage, which frees up people for the running game or passing game. The only real problem would be his ego and walking out on games

The Danny would give up his left nut for Moss....don't think it would happen, though.
BTW...he gave up his right nut for Gibbs last year...so he's running low.

Moss is too expensive. Period.

Not really, his current contract is not that bad. Besides, it is normal for contracts to be adjusted after a trade is completed.

Exactly, and if he's restructured, we are talking huge signing bonus again and huge salary.

Randy moss on the Redskins????? nah, Patrick is way too conservitive for the long reciever, Moss.

Patrick needs to start throwing some 3rd down bombs. He's got a good arm and it will stretch the field and if it's picked off a lot of times its as good as a punt. Unlike Brunell, whose pick are always trouble.

I agree DieselFan, the Danny would only be half the man he is with 1!

come on guys, I for one am sick of the probowl teams Snyder has the propensity to construct. Look how well our d did with no names. There is no need for these superstars. We just need a few brandon noble type guys on the oline.

Now, would Gary Clark have an issue about him wearing his old number?

We have Gibbs. That is why we don't need superstuds. We need to draft well. Unfortunately, Synder knows the clock is ticking for Gibbs before retiring. I think that is part of his reason to lean toward free agents. But its still a bad move.

Like, the end of this season he walked away from a game -only- five minutes before the end of the game?
Randy Moss is one of the prime examples of what is wrong in the head of some of the most talented NFL players. Make no mistake about it, He is the BEST receiver in the NFL. But the marbles are not set in the right order in his head.
I have said before that Joe Gibbs -could- be the best thing that would happen in Randy's life. There are VERY few coaches, if any, that could get through to him.
Interesting thought but it will not happen. Randy would have to play under Joe's rules and he likes to play only under no rules. Others in this board are better at the salary cap than I am.

The walk off is NOTHING compared to the previous seasons.
I dont think he ran over a cop this year or got into a fight with Culpepper, of got caught with a fat blunt.
I think last week was pure emotion, once again missing the playoffs because of poor play in the final game. But Moss and the Vikings got lucky from Carolinas loss.
That said, you cannot argue how good Moss is and a change of scenery is probably what he needs.

If we can get Moss without trading LaVar, it would be unreal
Our offense would be unstoppable

I dunno, ask Taylor Jacobs (#84) about that.

Exactly, plus he would would not fit well with Gibbs. He seems to full of himself to be a team player which is what we need.

I think Burress is more affordable and a better fit. That said, I don't think we can afford a WR this year. We have McCants - who sits needlessly on the bench. Jacobs better put up or get out. Gardner is gone - or should be...
O line is where we need the most help.
Followed very closely at DE...
We'll get lots of guys back from injury - Jansen, Bowen, LaVar... looks better already.

I was dead set against it until I read this:

i don't really like moss right now, but if he were to wear B&G next year, i may have to do a few backflips(not that it would ever happen, king is a putz). that would definantly ELIMINATE 8 in the box....
