In the third round, not the first though.

We have to draft a center sooner than the third round if we want to get Wilkerson or Carter, and nobody else is close to their level.
I'd like to see us grab an elite DE with our 1st pick and then trade our 1st rounder next year for an early 2nd rounder and pick up one of those Centers.

I picked W.R. I think we should go after Mike Williams.

We need offensive linemen.
I want an explosive offense this year. We need blue collar players.

Trading down in the first round and picking up a second round pick would help us upgrade both spots without burning our #1 pick for 2006

Linemen is the need, a pass rusher is huge need and o-line help. Our WR will look better when PRam has time to throw.

OL and C.

IF Williams is there at our pick I say we take him, if not we got with one of the pass rushing DE's.
Williams would make us an elite offense to go with that D. We could trade Gardner for a center and be good to go.

How could pass rusher be a huge need when we're one of the best defenses in the NFL? We put a hurting on one of the best offenses in the NFL.
Yeah, I'd like to be tougher against the pass, but it's not a HUGE need... the offense has stunk all season.
I kind of like the idea of trading down though. If we could get a late 1st and a 2nd for our 11th then we could probably get DE Kiwinuka(sp) and Alex Smith, or G Marcus Johnson, or CB Carlos Rogers or a couple of pretty good players.

A pass rusher is a huge need because when we don't blitz we don't have a consistant pass rush. Yes the defense played great, but if they can cause the opposing offense to lose yards more often, then our offense will have shorter fields to the endzone.

Trade back... grab David Baas, G Michigan...

Coles is getting hurt a lot and we have no other recievers our biggest need is clearly reciever. We have no playmakers on offense it is time we start getting one.

again, again, again... if we can't get the so-called "playmakers" the ball or open up holes... the playmakers do us no good... o-line, o-line, o-line.....

Pain - my thoughts exactly. The good thing is, there aren't a lot of C's needed by other teams. Raymer isn't even close. The nice thing about Baas is - he's versatile. He could play C, move to either G or play the RT - if need be. He's outstanding, hustles, tough and smart... I'm for trading back and regaining our second round pick plus a few more picks. Trade back, get some more help!

I'm with BTP. O line is where we need depth and have absolutely none. As far as the receivers, what the heck do you call Thrash, McCants, Jacobs, Coles, and Gardener. I would just put them in a different order then they were the end of this season. Thrash is awesome. And McCants showed he can block and works well with Ramsey. I say our receiver group has the potential to be awesome. Just give them some time with Ramsey. Gardener I can take or leave in this bunch. But the others are solid WR's and will definitely show their worth.
Again I say O-line. I am not as versed on the positions or draft prospects as some of these guys. So I won't even try to name names. But I know enough about football to know that depth is the key to longevity. And being good for the long haul leads to the play offs.

How high are they projecting Baas to go in the draft?

Scooter I love you and all but what is everyone's issue with Raymer. His penalties only occur when a guy gets by the line and it's hold or sack. I've heard some people say that was how centers were taught to play years ago. I think he's solid and we have to focus on an area where the need is great. Center is not where I was thinking when I said O line.

Jansen will be back, center is our biggest need and don't tell me you would use one a center. Bugel and Gibbs have a history of finding great linemen in the late rounds.

Jansen isn't gonna help the interior of our line... center and
guards are our biggest needs, unless of course you're seeing better interior line play than what I'm seeing?...
Yes, I'd trade back our pick in the first and grab whatever "great" interior lineman that we can to help us....and the Skins have a history of drafting BUSTS when it comes to WR's in the first round (as of late Howard, Westbrook, Gardner)... If we're gonna do the whole "History" thing..

Trade down in the first round for a late first rounder and a second rounder.
pick up Elton Brown, G, VA and then a Center in the second round.
Williams has shown he can make his 'D' work with anybody.
Gibbs wants to run so I say build the 'O' line and make that happen. If we can run, we've got the WR's to make enough plays.

i like that idea also..but only if we could pick up john abraham in free agency because we badly need a pash rusher...of course a wide reciever would help too but maybe taylor jacobs could be the number 2 wide reciever?...we'll have to see
