Antonio Brown

I don't know if anyone noticed but Antonio Brown played his first game as a Redskin yesterday. He was brought in to return punts and is listed as a WR. This means Darnerien McCants was placed on the inactive list after being active for about a month.

I think Brown could be a good return man but we would be better off with D-Mac active and Thrash returning punts for us.

I didn't see much out of Antonio Brown yesterday

lol, yeah when I first saw him, I was a little puzzled to see him returning punts after just joining the team...

anyone know whats up with DMac? Is he injured or something?

Gibbs only dress 4 WR on game day although Brown is a WR he plays ST same has it was when Chad Morton was healthy. D-mac doesnt play ST so he gets deactivated because Coles and Gardner are the starters and Taylor and Thrash plays ST.
Brown just didn't show me enough to remove McCants as a option. Plus I think Thrash is a better punt returner

Maybe McCants was inactive for his blocking tackle in the iggles game

Deserves to be.

I was really glad to see Antonio Brown finally put on a Skins uniform and see some PT. I just wish DMac didn't have to be inactive to see it happen. Gibbs is going to give a lot more playing time to the younger players the last two weeks.

Brown is a really good return man but he didn't show his true skill yesterday.

Why doesn't McCants learn to play special teams?

And I, also thought:

Can he block?

He needs to be our return man. He did more in that short span of time than Morton has done in his career as a Skin. Of course Im exaggerating but Morton has done nothing spectacular and/memorable. AB has left a good impression on me. He shows a burst, and a bit more decisivness than Morton.

And yes I remeber the fumble, get over it.

Morton hasnt exactly had the best of blockers in front of him since he's been here. Gibbs even said that.

True and Antonio used them too right? Imagine how much better he'd do with better blockers.

but you can't have the best blockers out there if he is KR- you need the "hands" team for when he FUMBLES THE DAMN BALL AND GIVES THE GAME AWAY TO THE FRICKIN SATANIC BUTTSLOSHERS KNOWN AS THE D*LL*S C**BOYS.

he is going to have to win about 30 games by himself before he redeems himself for that.

Well...I actually blame the coaches more for not telling him just to fair catch the ball.

Reference my earlier post:

The man fumbled the ball, he was new, he was off the bench. We can give Ramsey 1 billion excues, along with people excusing Sean Taylor, Arrington, and S. Moss but we can't forgive this man for one fumble?

The boy showed more potential in those few games than Morton EVER has as a Skin.

If we get into the season and he fumbles a lot, then he needs to be benched but I doubt that it will be a problem.

I don't think the cowgirls even scored after that fumble. It was the following drive. We still had a chance to run the clock out.

Also, isn't Carlos Rogers a good return man? We're a bit spoilt for choice! Personally I would like to see DMac in uniform - he's our only big receiver (once RG is cut).

So will Antonio Brown be lining up at wr, as quick as he is he may provide that big play every once in a while, but size might be a concern

I don't expect ABrown to be in there as a wideout. We already have too many recievers. He should do what he's best at so far, returning kicks/punts.

Wow....this is a really really old thread!

i agree that theres no way antonio brown gets tick as a wideout. skins are too deep at that position, although i thought brown did bring a much needed spark to our special teams.

I loved watching his punt returns---but he needs to protect the ball a little better. He has the explosiveness to be a great punt returner but hes too small to be in our already small wr corps. His highlights against the cowboys were tight except for ther fumble....I cant wait for him to return kicks this year hes got the chance to be an X-factor like d hall at KC.

^^ Yeah I cant wait to see him back there, what people dont see is how much our special teams has improved, that will be a huge factor in us winning this year
