My posted report on Brandyn says spot starter - we're getting closer picking a DB who might start.

I guess the OL will be filled in Free Agency. It's kind of looking like D-Nabb could be our QB. Grossman could fill in as well.
If our D can become stout this year with all the depth we just drafted, then we won't need a flashy QB to get to the playoffs.
Look at the Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Rex in 06, and Eli, if you have a great D, you can get to the playoffs.

Since we are picking a lot of special teamers does this mean that we are going to be a HUGE player in free agency - not saying throwing money around, but getting lots of blue collar guys.

There just seemed to be too much animosity between the Shanahan's and McNabb to think that the past could be put behind them. If Kyle did say that McNabb took his last snap for me - I think that it will ring true.

Maurice Hurt:
Hurt lacks the athleticism to be a starter at the next level, but he is a very strong player that could provide depth. He is thickly built, gets set quickly and uses his heavy hands to jar defenders back on their heels. He flashes the speed to get around the edge when pulling, but he is not athletic enough to consistently make plays in space. He lacks the recognition skills to sniff out stunts and blitzes and he has a tendency to lunge in pass protection. Hurt could be a quality reserve and will likely be a late round pick.

He had tons of knee issues in high school and college. We'll see if he can work through that.

Free Agemcy is coming and we plan to get quality blue collar guys that may be our starters - that's what I think.

Underrated: Maurice Hurt, Florida: There are two significant reasons why Hurt hasn't received more attention. For one, he plays on the same line as Mike Pouncey and two other senior Gator offensive linemen who could get drafted, so credit was tough to come by. Secondly, he has a bad body. Quite frankly, the 6-2 5/8, 318-pounder is round. That said, he has surprisingly long arms for his frame (third among all interior OL tested at the combine), which the tape proves he uses well in pass protection and in the running game. Don't be surprised when Hurt is drafted on the third day of the draft, but he winds up outperforming some prospects taken much earlier. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

If Kory can start for Shanny, then Maurice has a chance. That is not to knock Kory. He is a hard worker and I am sure that he played very good technique, but he was well undersized. He improved as the season went long. If Hurt has a work ethic, then he has a chance to start - provided we don't go out and sign vet O -linemen and let's not forget BMW.

I still hope we grab Ian Williams with our next pick. He is undersized at the NT position, but is a tough SOB and is quick. Reminds me a lot of Jay Ratliff

The Blaine Fan Club is hoping for Blaine Sumner NT for our last choice. He is not undersized just played for an undersized school.
