I don't think better play calling, better execution or anything else would have stopped what happened tonight.
They stopped the run, got ahead, forced the Redskins into passing mode, then turned the dogs loose.
This is b/c our passing game was barely enough with the excellent running game. Shut down the run, you beat the skins. Name 1 game that the skins dominated through the air this year. IT's been fine as long as they HAVEN'T shut down the run, but this week, we see what happens when they do.
Yeah thats why i had a bad feeling about this one. Baltimore won't be much better. The line wouldn't allow the passing game to click today even if it was going to otherwise.

how much different would this game have been if carlos took that pick to the house. score would have been 13-3 and we could have leaned on them. oh well...

Amen to that.
Well, awesome performance by the Steelers. Cant deny it. We got beat by a better team.
Lets rest up and get the next one.
G'night all.

When we missed those opportunities early, the adrenaline wore off, and we have been going downhill ever since.
Time to get this over wothout anyone else getting hurt is drawing near. Would be nice to get at least one TD.

We're still down 17.... they'd still be winning.

Watch out for the NFC South

i know they just flashed it, but if we can win 2 out of 3 division games, and then games against Cincy, SF, and Seattle... should be able to win 5 of those...

same with the blocked punt and the int. But they gave us the ball inside the 40 twice and stopped it both times. They got it done tonight, we did not.

Hand has to be INSIDE the pads to be horse collar. He coulda had a handful of jersey. With the ref ~2 yards away, I trust his vision.
I could be wrong but I think it was called in a game yesterday where the guy grabbed the back of the jersey.

Steelers have only given up 9 total TDs in 8 games....I am not ashamed....They ARE GOOD!

Portis is saving JC's behind from blitzes.. that's why he's still in there...

And the Giants showed how to beat them. Pressure their QB with your front 4 (and sometimes 5), leaving everyone else back in coverage.
Alas, D-line pressure might be the Redskins' weakest attribute.

Doesn't mean the call was correct.

Pressure them and get a fluke safety and a garbage call that reverses a TD. Giants got very lucky and they probably know it.

Don't think that will matter one bit when the 'Skins line up in 2 wks vs. Dullass.

Well isn't that just icing on the cake?
As DM used to sing it, turn out the lights, the party's over. Rest up well Skins. Pukes are up next.
