I think they are taking athletes who fit a position of need and upside. Not just production.

That's why he doesn't have time to post as redskins_fanatic today.

It's one thing for the team to think the OL is developing well, it's another for the OL to actually be developing well. The jury is out, but you can never have too much depth on the OL and clearly we were left hurting last year.

On the plus side, Special Teams are looking better. Wish we had a good kicker though.

Didn't we used to do that with Miami? :)

Niles Paul better get his sht together.

2010: Arrested for underage consumption/urinating in public in May. He pled guilty to underage consumption and was fined.

2009: Arrested for suspicion of DUI in April. He pled guilty to a lesser charge of reckless driving and was fined. The Huskers suspended him for the remainder of spring practice and the spring game.

I am really thinking that free agency is where Shanny expects to pick up his new O linemen.

Skins took 3 Cornhuskers in the same draft, back in 1975

He should....in the 7th round. Not in the 5th.

I don't think the Vet - core players we have here will put up with this kid acting stupid.

Waiting for Redskins to finish out this draft with Nebraska's Dave Rimington, Mike Rozier and Trev Alberts (which Mel Kiper would love).

Not really worried about these charges. They don't seem to serious.

He got off easy because he's a football player. Apparently he was already driving on a suspended license when stopped in 2009. Poor judgement / alcohol problem ?

Does anybody know the negatives on Jarrell Powe? With him on the board, it makes it harder for me to understand our pick of Niles.

Since all the teams are passing on Powe, there must be something.

Teams felt he underperformed in college, and there may be some worth ethic problems.

I saw one report on Powe said that he could eat himself out of the NFL in a year.
