Stafford has all day when they don't call his line for holding.

Matt Jones???
I see a swiss cheese defense allowing a TD in under a minute.

Lot of avoidable mistakes cost us this game.

MATT JONES COST US THIS GAME. He fumbled at the two yard line. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE.

Also, isn't throwing the ball out of the field using it as a prop? Shouldn't that have been a penalty?

Whatever you need to believe. The defense lost this game.

The defense held them to 20 points. The offense cost us this game with the turnovers.

How hard is this to understand? We were ahead by 4 with 1:05 left and the defense could not hold them. The DEFENSE lost the game?

You're the dim bulb here, pal. The offense squandered the game with turnovers. It never should have come down to the game winning drive for Stafford. Get off it.

They also scored enough to have the lead at the end of the game... when it counts. All that sh*tty defense had to do was hold them for 1 minute... they failed.

Poor defense play calling, they should have stayed in man coverage and they went into zone and let them march right down the field. The only time they went into man coverage is when they sacked Stafford for that big loss and wen tright back to zone to give them the TD. 2 more plays in man coverage and we would hav ewon, inspite of Gruden letting Jones stay in the game and continue to fumble. Poor coaching lost that game.

Brian Mitchell and Trevor Matich agree that the play that lost the game was the fumble at the two yard line.

I could only listen on the Redskins app. Did Kirk score too quickly? Could the defense have stopped the Lions on their last drive or are they that good? Did they say why they didn't try to get 35 yds and attempt a game-tying FG?

(1) Where is Alfred Morris? Not as fast as Fumbles Jones, but sometimes you need a reliable runner. Oops. I think I know where Morris works this season...
(2) Fumbles Jones. Long, Long ago, in a football league far away, the Redskins had a RB named Riggins who refused to fumble. He was stronger. He put two hands on the ball as he got extra yardage. Jones is not a rookie: it's time he learned
(3) Defense! Defense! Defense! When the Lions are not running the ball, should the Redskins defensive "coordinator" be more coordinated?

X2.
The unappreciated D gave us 8 quarters without a td... whilst the O put up three in the first half against a crappy D.
We lost Norman. And should've tried an onsides kick! THEN we went to our horrible prevent Defence, that notoriously only prevents us from winning!
Blame coach. Blame Jones. But get real, and do NOT blame the Defense. Smmfh

Now that I have cooled off a bit, it might be that Baker, Kerrigan & Co did not have 1 more play left in them. That last time they nailed Stafford they might have needed a break and that was why Barry played zone instead of another allout jailbreak - which is what was needed to win the game. The D had the lions backed up and Barry played conservative to give a 1 play rest before hammering Stafford again. That is the only scenario that makes sense to me. The boys just did not have 1 more play left in them. I'd rather think that then the alternative.

... because, the best response to being wrong is to keep digging?
