Winning streaks.. breaking records.. being feared.. sweeping the pukes.. PLAYOFFS!!!
Being relevant again...
Sho nuff! As a young Skins fan, it was the first time I've ever experienced those things.

Wow. That's horrible. At least I remember the Gibbs I era, and teams that worked hard, and just knocked the stuffing out of teams.

Call me crazy but I see this situation as follows:
-McCoy is the best option on the team RIGHT NOW. Anyone disputing that is delusional.
-McCoy is NOT a long term option. Gruden knows this.
-Putting Griffin at #2 keeps the perception that this franchise still believes in him. Thereby increasing his trade value.
-Keeping Cousins at #3 makes it certain that the Skins have no desire to trade him, since that signifies how "little" they believe in him. I think keeping him at #3 means they'll keep him next year to see if he can cut down on his mistakes and go into camp with an open competition.

I'm up for that debate, too, but you don't seem to be listening to any arguments.
Anyway, I'm done with it. Smashing cynical posts is boring.

I personally think the benching was due as RG3 was abysmal the past few games, but that still doesn't mean I'm happy about how this whole situation did not work out.
Because essentially our options are now a career backup QB who couldn't cut it in quarterback starved Cleveland, or a former 4th round pick who falls completely apart in crunchtime and was leading the NFL in turnovers while he started. Is anyone convinced they will be the QBs to lead us in the future? Because if you are, you're wearing rose tinted glasses when you gaze at them with your loving eyes.
Realize that with RG3 not working out, we are now starting all over from ground zero at the QB position. Can you not recall this is where we usually are, and how it's never, ever worked out?
We're back on the rotating QB carousel of: old cast off vet QBs like Tony Banks, Jeff George, Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman; young QBs who don't pan out like Pat Ramsey or Jason Campbell; or the complete shot in the darks like Danny Wuerffle, Shane Matthews, John Beck.
This is a total mess. And for the first time in a few years, I have no hope that this team is going to be anything more than it has been. One of the joke franchises in the NFL.
It's a HUGE mess ... the fact remains, RG3 was given the time and opportunity to be the starting QB and he did not take advantage
AND it's a fact that Colt did and now we're going to see what he can do - that is a good thing
the big picture is a disaster - IMO Gruden is handling a very difficult situation very well - the GM and owner are NOT
back to the highlighted statement - I'm considering taking a sabbatical from the board only because there are way too many posters that have little to offer
kind of like how our team has been managed since 1999 I guess

I think it's still a little too early to close the door on Cousins. Yes, he turned the ball over A LOT in his starters. However, he has only started 9 games. If you look at the first 9 starts of even elite quarterbacks the numbers can be quite ugly. So yes, the qb situation does look dire at the moment but I think it's too soon to totally discount Kirk.

I'm sure the team and the HC are just really focused on this game with this roster
IMO there's been too many distractions and that has hurt the focus - Gruden needs to get these guys back on track
we all can debate all we want about this guy or that guy - once the starting lineup was announced, everyone at Redskins Park that's involved with playing are only focused on 1 thing - finding a way to win this game, this week
it's Colt's turn - all the best - let's play hard and win this game

I agree. My only concern is Gruden is done with Cousins, since he's relegated him to #3 on the depth chart BEHIND Griffin.
