Again - NO - we have other issues first and we have 3 QBs on the roster, all of which we're not exactly sure of ...

this from ESPN/John Keim regarding RG3 ...

"Well, there’s a lot of room for growth, but the question is can he get there -- and how long will it take? Griffin has not shown the explosiveness that he did as a rookie, but he’s still a fast quarterback. He has a good arm, too. But I’m not sure the current coaching staff has the patience to try and develop him, knowing how long they think it might take. Griffin wasn’t playing with the confidence he showed as a rookie, some of which stems from him needing to develop more as a passer. That’s not just in the pocket, either. Even as a rookie he left a lot of plays on the field by opting to run too soon or putting his eyes down too early or not being confident in what he saw. He has to dedicate himself to becoming a pocket passer, learning how to slide and maneuver, for example. Griffin has talent, but what’s coming out now is what was whispered about before (and occasionally mentioned): He needs to focus a lot more on developing as a passer than working in the weight room. Griffin is not lazy and he is a smart kid. But his pace of development was slow. I don’t know if the coaches asked him to do things he wasn’t capable of yet or if he just will never get it. Maybe Griffin needs to see how far he has fallen before he really gets his mind to how far he has to climb."

before we give up on this kid, someone needs to determine that it's either going to take too long or it's not going to happen ...

there are many here who are just anti RG3 and don't seem to want to give him a shot at playing here ...

it's going to take time to fix this mess - why not give some of these guys some more time to get better

By "many" he means like "two".

Griffin is entering his fourth year. I don't think we just have to give up on him, but at this point I think he has to earn and win the job. Not show up in April already annointed the starting QB.

Racism? Not a Heisman trophy winner accused of sexual assault? Or screaming obscenities on campus? Yeah you're right it's racism. Also must be a racist motive behind the constant media coverage of Manziel, too.

Don't you know, EVERYTHING that happens these days is because of racism...

Maybe Bill B (Patriots) takes a look at giving Griffin a spot and having him learn for a year or 2 under Brady ...

1. Did you read the facts of that case....if you read you will realize that the girl gave 4 different stories...and she said she drugged but yet toxicology report shows no drugs.....and how can somebody who rape you give u a ride home afterward on his scooter

2. He forgot to pay for crag legs....BIG DEAL...

3. yea a college student screaming vulgar words....SHOCKING!

Espn and all other media are trying to ruin this guy career.....God forbid the guy sneezes.......

The thing is that ...you know you are really good when everybody wants you to fail.....Fact is Jameis is the best qb in the draft...if we can get him...we get him....

Ms. Winston, please, no need to defend your son on a lowly redskins forum. Especially when you make such idiotic comments.

Especially #1 --- which shows you didn't pay attention to the case, know very little to nothing about toxicology reports or the process in which they are performed, or have any clue about the emotional aspects of rape. Early in my career, I was a law clerk to a judge and we had multiple rape cases brought before us. There are 3 that I can remember where the CONVICTED party walked or drove the victim home. It is actually MORE common for the rapist to do that. But then again, what do you care. Facts apparently mean very little to you when forming an opinion.....

#2 -- A crime is a crime. The fact you don't understand that or don't care about the law is very telling as to your character.

#3 -- He didn't just stand up and yell the F word. It was a statement directed that was crude, offensive, and could be considered sexist. But hey, boys will be boys, right......

And I don't think a sneeze would gardner much attention......

In terms of football, Winston is extremely immature (meaning he would be a bad on-field leader), has horrendous accuracy, and relies too much on athletism and size (things that will no longer be considerable assets - at least over his competition - in the NFL). That is enough for me to not want to draft him --- and that is not even taking into account his lack of character. And people don't want him to fail because he is good; that LITERALLY couldn't be more incorrect. Then again, your entire post couldn't be more wrong....

If Jay Gruden is so disappointed and mad at RG3, why didn't he make him the #3 QB when he decided to go with Colt?

answer is: maybe because this is just more of the same BS speculation we get from some DC reporters

Or more logically, he wants to keep his trade value up. Making him inactive and the third stringer tells the rest of the league that he stinks and is essentially worthless.

Weirdly, either one of you might be correct.
