Well done, Mr. Commish!
Yogi auto picked for last place and will likely have to manage his ass off.
LTI solid as always.
Here we go.

I think the numbers at the end proved that I had the best draft. 2nd place overall, #3 in scoring, and only 19 (second lowest) moves made.

Is this a keeper league by chance?.
If this is not a keeper league I would very much like to play again next year if possible.

Proved is a strong word.
LPJ's opponents outscored your opponents (your points against was lowest in the league) by over 252 points. He also outscored you by more than 73. That's a net point differential of over 325 points which is over 25 points per week so the 2nd place overall loses a lot of it's value in this metric.
This is further evidenced by these interesting numbers:
Laughing Hyenas would be 103-66 if they played every team every week.
If Deadskins had played every team in the league each week, they would be 109-60
If The LTI had played every team in the league each week, they would be 120-49.
L P J would be 127-42 if they played every team every week.
These numbers in conjunction with LPJ's draft rating show LPJ's draft kicked butt and he was snake bit.
My downfall was having both my RBs go down the same week (not to mention my 2 best LBs) and then not simply starting Cutler a few times. I had a tidy 10-3 anyway but managed it away ... but that's another story.
The numbers show you had a nice year but they far from prove you had the best draft ... IMO.

WTF does points against have to do with the excellence of my draft? Matchups are the deciding factor in final record, no question, but the fact that I'm #3 in scoring with only 19 changes from my drafted roster
PROVES (IMO) that I had the best draft. LTI and LPJ also had good drafts, but needed 50 changes to get to the higher points for totals.

BTW - not a keeper league.

You get to keep a guy (or more) in place of a draft pick the following year. We don't play dat.

You are the one who made this ...
Deadskins wrote:-snip- 2nd place overall -snip-
part of your arguement. I diminished/eliminated its relevance with my analysis.
Your best argument is clearly your fewer number of moves. It still falls fall short of proof. For instance, maybe it points just as much or more to making good efficient moves. Imagine that.
Now if you were #1 in scoring with only 19 changes ... well, at least your argument would be stronger. Still wouldn't prove anything though.
There is too much going on here for what you have put forward to be considered proof of your conjecture.
I have a much better argument for you and your drafting prowess but I'm gonna let you try to find it.

Here's an argument for my draft.
I hold this year's record for most points scored by drafted players in a week. (BTW - when I set that record I sat 2 drafted RBs who totaled 39.2 points as well as a QB who put up 28.6.) I just lost 6 drafted starters to injury. Can't speak for the other guys but it's the reason I had to make so many moves.

Oh, and

BTW - good luck in the playoffs ... seriously.

Since you are already in the league, you have a reserved spot for next season, but your reservation won't last forever. If you don't sign up by a certain date LPJ will open your spot up to others.

After wanting to quit after missing the draft, I actually made a run at this season and finished with 7 wins. The first 2-3 weeks were a real struggle as I was on the waiver/free agency wire trying to find gems. I found a few. I feel bad for the chumps who actually drafted their team and finished in the dumpster haha. I am pulling for DC-RU as he was robbed in years past so screw you other guys haha.

Truly a comeback for the ages last night:
Playoffs: Laughing Hyenas Comes Back to Edge L P J
Powered by Automated Insights
Recap
Box Score
Week 14
Laughing Hyenas
7-6
Weekly Grade: A
184.45
L P J
7-6
Weekly Grade: A
182.2
Laughing Hyenas got 39.40 points from Julio Jones and 35.45 from Jay Cutler, sneaking by L P J 184.45 to 182.20. Laughing Hyenas came into the Monday night game facing a 27.55-point deficit, but scored 57.50 for the comeback. The miniscule 2.25-point playoff victory was the sixth-smallest difference over all matchups this season. Laughing Hyenas has put a nice string together and has now won three straight. This makes it two in a row for Laughing Hyenas against L P J. Their last matchup was a 188.75 to 132.65 win in Week 3. L P J wrapped up the regular season in fourth place with a record of 7-6. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly better (first with 169.26). L P J was bounced early this postseason, losing in their only playoff matchup.
Top Players
St. Louis Rams Defense
52.65
Julio Jones
39.40
Jay Cutler
35.45
C.J. Anderson
23.80
Smooth Moves by Laughing Hyenas
Even the Wright brothers would be proud of this aerial performance. Julio Jones had 39.40 points, the highest WR score of the week and the fourth-highest WR score in the league this season.
The 20.40 points scored by Martellus Bennett was the highest TE score in the league this week.
Expect to see some trade offers for Jay Cutler. He ranked eighth in the league in scoring with 35.45 points.
Benched RB Rashad Jennings, who scored fewer points than any RB in the starting lineup with 2.70.
C.J. Anderson scored 23.80 points, which ranked fifth out of all the RBs in the league this week.
Toyota Roster Tune-up
L P J may have missed the opportunity for a win, but they gained an opportunity to be mercilessly taunted by Laughing Hyenas.
Acquired and benched Vincent Jackson, who scored 21.90 points and beat his projected point total by 149.4%, the sixth-highest percentage in the league.
Picked up Coby Fleener, who scored 9.10 points against a projected 6.03, but left him on the bench.
The 7.70 points scored by Randall Cobb fell short of his 14.79-point projection, the third straight game where that has happened.
L P J needed more points from the QB position, where Laughing Hyenas beat them 35.45 - 13.25.
What If
If Laughing Hyenas played L P J every week, they would be 6-8 this season.
Laughing Hyenas would have beaten only three other teams besides L P J this week.
Had they played each other last week, Laughing Hyenas would have defeated L P J 234.90 - 183.40.
Laughing Hyenas would be 7-5 if they played the same schedule as L P J.
Laughing Hyenas would be 107-69 if they played every team every week.
L P J would have lost to just three other teams besides Laughing Hyenas this week.
L P J would be 8-4 if they played the same schedule as Laughing Hyenas.
L P J would be 130-46 if they played every team every week.
Game Notes
Three of the eight wins for Laughing Hyenas this season have come despite their opponent scoring higher than their season average.
Six of the seven losses for L P J this season have come when their opponent scores higher than their season average.
L P J had the highest losing score in the league this season with 182.20 points.
In the loss, the St. Louis Rams Defense had the highest score of any DEF in the league this season with 52.65 points.
The manager of Laughing Hyenas was probably the person who destroyed the curve on every test in school. They scored 184.45 points against a projected 181.08 and beat their scoring projection for the sixth time this season, including the last three weeks in a row.
The margin of victory for the matchup ended up being the smallest in the league this week at 2.25 points.
The win was the third in a row for Laughing Hyenas.
Laughing Hyenas won even though L P J performed better against their scoring projection. L P J beat their 171.85 projected points by 6.0%, while Laughing Hyenas outscored their 181.08-point projection by 1.9%.
Insane.

Doesn't look good for me. Still not over though. Needed to replace the benched Cutler with say Orton and his TE Bennett with say Ertz.
Actually considered both - Orton even seriously.
Oh well. C'mon CJ Anderson!

My friend, you know me and how I feel about fantasy.. It's ALWAYS time to discuss it!!! LOL!!!!
Year #7 for our THN Fantasy Football League is coming up on us fast!!!!
I know my champion and former champions are geared up and waiting.. Cappo, LTI, Darth, DS.. I'm looking forward to playing all of you again!
Darth, tell the champ I need him to at least get back on the board for our new season.. he's expected to represent hard from last year!!
As always, once activated Yahoo will send out the email invites to everyone who was in the league last year. You don't have to go in and plan ahead or anything but at least go to your email and activate your team so I may know way in advance if we have any droppers so I may add fresh meat.. I mean, new managers.
NFL season begins September 10th this year so my available draft dates are September 4th-9th (Friday-Wednesday). Make sure and give me your options so we can try to accommodate everyone.
A pleasure to be your commish and hit me up if you have any questions or concerns.
