If we pick this guy up at 6...I would be extremely upset, in fact anywhere in the first round is really a stretch IMO. He is SUCH a project, extremely inaccurate and has had very limited experience. Just cause a couple guys on here are touting him as the next great, doesn't mean he is. Good grief.

FYI Floyd has been arrested or cited three wrs or alcohol related incidents. He was cited twice by the police for under age drinking and must recently was sentenced to one year in jail (suspended) for a DWI (.19).

Look I know plenty of people that drank under age, but I don't know any that were arrested for it and then to get a DWI... He has, or had, a serious problem with alcohol!

Combine that major red flag with him being a huge reach at #6 and I hope the Skins have him off their first round board, if not all together.

It looks EXCELLENT... I'd prefer you build your desktop from an unedited, 2012 preseason photo, though!

A number of Mock Drafts have us taking Claiborne, probably the best CB this year, with the 6th pick:

For example, CBS.

But this is MY calculation as posted previously at the beginning of this thread.

Whoever they get at QB should be well off with a receiving corps of Blacmon, Hankerson, Gafney, Moss, ey and Davis (pending). That's not too shabby.

You know what is it with the Skins? Other than Hankerson none of these guys are tall for their position. ey and Davis are 6'3"ish and that is short in a world of 6'5"-6" TE's. If we draft a supposedly stud of a WR in Blaclmon, we get one of the few WRs drafted in the top ten of a draft that doesn't have that "sfud" WR height. He certainly is closer to 6' than 6'6".

Now that doesn't mean we shouldn't draft him. If he is a top ten talent then you should take him. Even though the thought of us drafting a WR with the #6 pick makes mef want to puke. But if we do it would be nice if he wasn't 2" or 3" inches shorter than the typical top ten stud WR!

For the record (again) I'm against taking a WR that high even though we desperately need one.

I don't know. I still can't see them taking a WR at #6. Its the one position that we have a real shot at addressing during free agency. There are some known, quality guys who should be available in March.

Not a very exciting pick, but I'd have no problem with it. I would love to see the team continue to pick up young offensive linemen.

With the 2nd pick in the draft, the Skins pick Robert Griffin III.

They won't trade to #3 because they'll be worried the Browns (or some other team) may try to trade for #2 to grab Griffen.

I really see this pick as a HUGE potential for Shanny and Allen to mess it up. There WILL NOT be a Top Quality QB left at #6. The only two worth selecting will be gone by #3. So, assuming they are unwilling or unable to get up there to get one of those two, either trade back in the round, or just trade out of the first round entirely. Even if you take 50 cents on the dollar for the pick. The only position this team needs to be looking at in the first round won't be there, so why waste the pick on anyone else.

Again, I expect that a trade down scenario might be more feasible than trading up. I say that because the other team looking for a QB in the Top 5 is Cleveland, and they have more ammo to move than we do (2 1st round picks this year). Even if that is the case, I believe we have the chance to bring in a QB not named RG3 who could be a franchise qb.

I don't know. I know that's the way it seems right now, because RGIII and Luck are the only QBs anybody is talking about. I bet things look a little bit different after the combine.

Like I said before, I believe that Tannenhill & Weeden will be quality starters in the NFL. A lot of fans act as if Luck & RG3 are the only guys in the draft who have a chance at that. I'd love to have RG3 in the B & G. But, the reality is we pick 6th and its no guarantee we will get the chance to draft him. You can't just tuck your tail in that case, so we may as well look at the other talent.

The heck with the combine. Which other QB has any top-end college experience? I'm not interested in guys who played second tier ball in college. They have not proven they can win under the sort of pressure that Luck and RGIII have.

For the fourth or fifth round, maybe. We're talking about the NUMBER SIX pick in the draft. You darn well ought to be able to find an immediate starter and impact player at that spot. Some "project" QB is not who I want this team looking at with that pick.
