Quarterback
#12 John Beck
#8 Rex Grossman
#11 Kellen Clemens
We should know enough about these guys now, Grossman was a former first round pick, Beck and Clemens former second rounders. All have started in the NFL before, but only Grossman has been a full season starter. Actually a lot of experience in this group, but not a lot of skill. IMO, pretty much the most we could hope for from these guys is someone to be a game manager. We just need someone to come in and not throw picks.
Wouldn't be surprised if Shanahan only carries 2 QBs this year.

#46 Ryan Torain
#34 Tim Hightower
#26 Roy Helu
#22 Evan Royster
#35 Keiland Williams
Shanahan has a great track record with running backs, but that's always seemed to be because of his dominant offensive lines. Still, we saw flashes from Torain who had multiple 100 yard gains. Tim Hightower is new, and he's show flashes of brilliance too. Both guys are made for this system. Hopefully they work out. Helu and Royster are rookies, hopefully they stick around for a while. It's a crowded backfield though, and Keiland Williams proved to be a useful goalline back in 2011.
Williams has been switched to FB

#45 Mike Sellers
#36 Darrel Young
Young has been getting more of the work, so it looks like the end of the line for Mike Sellers. I don't expect Sellers to break camp with the team.
Sellers has been moved to TE

#89 Santana Moss
#13 Anthony Armstrong
#10 Jabar Gaffney
#85 Leonard Hankerson
#14 Malcolm Kelly
#19 Donte' Stallworth
#16 Brandon Banks
This is a crowded position and there's a few more I didn't list. Moss, Armstrong and Gaffney all had more than 800 yds receiving last season. Hankerson and Kelly look great in camp and Banks is on the roster bubble since he's limited to returning kicks.
Looks like the WR corps may be a position of strength for Beck and Grossman. These guys all just go to work, no complaining, and with the possible exception of Stallworth character is a huge plus for everyone.
I doubt they keep Stallworth and Gaffney nor do I think they'll go with seven WRs
Skinsfan55 wrote:Tight End
#47 Chrisey
#83 Fred Davis
There's a couple camp bodies in there too, but these are the two guys to beat.ey and Davis are arguably the best TE combo in football. One position where we have strength for sure.
Logan Paulson and Sellers will battle for the 3rd spot, They will carry three and Logan will be the third TE again this year. One of the two on your list might be traded

The line is pretty thin, especially on the interior. Seems like with a shortened offseason and a weak FA market Shanahan went for continuity and familiarity with the scheme to try and get results. I don't know if it's gonna work. I like Williams and Brown a lot, but there's very little depth at all, to go with a weak interior. Maybe we'll see one or two of the interior line step up. As for who makes the team as a reserve, I don't see an obvious choice as a backup center but that could get sorted out. The rest will be hammered out in camp.[/b]
Pretty thin is right Capers has been lining up a guard so far in camp and Hurt has look pretty good but who knows how the line will shake out.
All in all you've put together a pretty good list other than the position changes.
