A lesson on how to screw your team up by not protecting your good players in the offseason or on how to whine when someone takes them? Oh, no! I know - a lesson on how to talk smack on players you were bragging about last year because they were on your roster!
By the by, where did that blitzer come from who hurt Pennington? Over right guard? Hm..........

Let's not forget that the Redskins will be able to stack the box to stop Curtis... 'cause Champ can cover Moss and Chrebet by himself.
Curtis better have the Lavar radar on.

So tell me, just who in the heck is Brent Edwards and which NCAA div III school did he come from. I mean we know who Dave "I can't stop a 280 pound tackle with mono" Szott is. Maybe Mawae and Fabini will be able to make up for poor guards, but then again that is what we thought last year. That is why we went after good guards this year. Enjoy Vinny while you have him - it won't be long.

Does Ramsey make it through the 1st half....or will Johnson take over by then??

boss, being we know they'll have a hard time throwing against us, that leaves a pretty one diminsional offense huh? our "makeshift" D line, as it was called earlier, shouldn't have too much of a problem

I'm not a fortune teller, I can't tell you whether Champ will be a Redskin in 2004.
I can tell you that he's under contract in 2003, and if you'd like to watch him, he'll be the guy blanketing what little the Jets can throw at him.

Oooooooooooooo and let's not forget the ever well known Kareem MacKenzie at RT and all of the good backups that you have listed on your depth chart. Looks like the article I was reading about your lack of line depth wasn't joking.
You guys are one injury away from being 4-12 instead of 6-10 like your own board predicts.
Let's look at the receivers - Wayne "often ignored" Chrebet who is a better WR than Herm or Al give him credit for but often gets left out, Santana "Ouchie" Moss, Curtis "I can't make the Chargers or the Bears roster so I will look to the Jets" Conway, and Kevin "who the heck am I" Swayne. Nice foursome. Oh yeah... I am shaking.

While that may or may not be true... as when I saw the hit again and again on Espn it looked like an LB blitz up over the non existent RG spot (which is why Pennington was running in the first place - the RG was MIA) the ALL PRO CENTER as you put it can't cover three holes like he will need to and stunts will make it even harder. Add Arringon, Armistead or Bowen blitzing and Vinny will be Testasnapohmyknee.

jon- exactly what do you see in danny waffel that you like? help me learn to like him too...

Oh yeah - then you bring in Brooks "where is my diaper" bollinger or Todd "I can't make a roster except as a 3rd stringer on a desparate team" Husak. I saw you signed Jamie Martin as a 4th QB. With Szott and Smith starting at guard you will need him. Maybe by Friday.

I predict you guys get ZERO sacks.
Why you are knocking Szott....the guy is a stud. Got nothing better to throw at me?
All that I know...that Swiss Cheese DL will get pummeled on Thursday....ank maybe you're #1 D-lineman Bruuuuuuuuuuce calls it a career!!

the jets do have a hatred for the nfc east this year. skins take their starting lineup, giants take their qb for the season. or maybe that was planned by the jets cheap ass front office, so that chad won't have any barganing leverage when the jets "try" to resign him in the spring.

I know you hate Bruce cause he ate your QBs for lunch, but the man is an awesome presence. I have watched him since he played here at Virginia Tech where he crushed QBs and hated to see him go to the Shills.
We'll get a sack. We'll get three or four if I read our def. coord. intentions correctly.
I knock Szott for two reasons - I'm not all that impressed with what I have seen of him and two, because you are here and I can, just like you with Snyder
Seriously, the right side of your OL is hurting even discounting Szott. Mawae goes down and you are in deep poop.

Actually, I DO worry about Champ Bailey. He's a great player who is going to have a career year. He's auditioning for the free agent market because he knows Washingtom doesn't have the cap space to sign him.
Gave it all to Cole$ and Morton, dont ya know. D'oh!

I know you talk sh*t about Szott....which makes me realize you know nothing of him....or the Jets!!
The Jets late season surge was due in large part to Szott coming back late in the year.
Keep Smith....he's like an old dog.....just can't let him go.....even though he can't walk anymore!!

Hey hail - have I grown any yet? I can talk smack - just choose to do so in a more football oriented setting
Deep poop - following the board rules about no cursing - trust me - I could curl your toes being ex military where every third word began with "f" and the adjective almost always did. I just choose not to anymore
I would worry about Champ too...and please don't forget that we have offered him over 6 mil a year and we know it is going higher. A lot of the money paid to these people, like Champ will be long term (9 years) and not as bad as you make it out to be. Plus the cap keeps going up and the contract gets renegotiated in a couple of years and you know that won't go down.
I am not worried about Arrington staying... where would he want to go play? New York? yeah... sure.
Trust me. Dan will pay for it - and he will give a lot in signing bonus to defray costs. Arrington will sign due to getting a massive amount guaranteed as the bonuses are all that IS guaranteed.
Don't worry your little green head about it.
