Me too... the problem is, if they try, and fail, how will you know? They'll never say.

The problem with getting TJ is his contract. He's got $7 million guaranteed. So Seatlle doesn't save money by cutting him. They'll likely keep him unless they get a trade offer plus an agreement to pay a large portion of his salary. Would you give a pick plus $4 million for him?

Haynesworth is getting 4 Mil per game ... why not 4 Mil for a season that's likely to help just as much or more.

Now they don't have to give up the pick for him, so he's cheaper. And did I miss Haynesworth getting a big raise? Pretty sure $4 million a game would be a record.

His game checks will be about $212K this year

Yeah, but if you count the money he's guaranteed and already collected, it's much closer to 4 million than 212K.

Not quite. Even if you just count last season - 12 games at 4 million would be $48 million. That's what he would get over 4 full seasons.

He has 41 Mil Guaranteed .... and if you think Albert is going to play for three more years in a Redskin Jersey, I want some of what you're smoking.

I said $212K in response to:

I didn't know you wanted me to include what he stole from "the Danny" through Vinny C. :D

He only got $11 million of the $41 mil last season or about $917K per game for 12 games. He'll pocket $24.6 mil this year. That'll be about $2.05 mil per game if he plays 12......

At 12 games a year by the end of this year he will have made almost $1.5 mil per game.

I hope you know I was kidding.

Interesting thing about Reinhardt only b/c he does have tape and with the need of experienced lineman, he could be valuable for a 6th rd pick.

Nobody's giving more than a conditional 7th for Rinehart. If a guard making vet min can't make the Redskins' 53, he's probably not making anybody else's either. Tape and experience cut both ways and it's got to hard to look at Rinehart on tape after 3 years of Buges and think that there's untapped potential left.

I keep seeing O-lineman being let go....Cook, Capers, Robinson, and Rhino reportedly released or waived or whatever...Who the hell is left as depth?? Heyer, Oldenburg, Williams....who am I missing? Also, looks like Housh is going to Minnesota

Oldenburg may be going to IR. I think we'll be waiver wire searching too.

22 net cuts needed today
1. Robinson
2. Torrain
3. Austin
4. Parker
5. Vickers
6. Tryon <-- traded
7. Jackson
8. Davis
9. Capers
10. Carter
11. Paulsen
12. Hodge
13. Robinson
14. Cook
15. Russell
16. Scott
17. Bartel

Less than a half hour to go, and five more cuts to make. Not sure why anyone would trade for a player they know we have to cut in the next 30 minutes.

Because, waiver claims go by last years order of finish... If you were a 9-7 team, and believe that a 6-10 team is going to grab the player, you will trade a low draft pick to get him.

He would need to be someone you want pretty badly.

Not really... teams take this type of flyer all the time... I suspect that's exactly what happened to cause us to trade Tryon to the Colts today... He was probably going to be cut... the Colts wanted a shot at him... and knowing that some bad team was likely to grab him, they traded at least one pick... we don't know the details yet...

Yeah, but the Colts had a very good record last year, and Tryon was traded when there were several hours still left on the clock.

It'll probably be a conditional round pick also. Hope he can do some big things this year. That'll mean better compensation for us.

I'm trying to figure out cutting both Vickers & Paulsen. Don't most teams keep 3 TE's?

They converted Darrel Young to FB and kept Williams, that's 5 backs counting Big Mike
