. . . . .hmm. We've had tougher losses, maybe, but I can't recall anything as "low" as this one. Can't imagine this bodes well for Zorn's job security.

I'd say he and JC are well on the way to the door. But not now, at the end of the year. He's seriously going to need to turn this around in a big way to change that. We're 3 for 3 with severely disappointing games now. But putting the team in disarray by quitting now and souring the ground for any reputable coach isn't the solution. If Snyder fires Zorn now, I'll put RiC's sig in mine as that would actually prove Snyder is an incompetent owner.

I basically agree with you, Kaz. But I'm not sure Snyder does. :)

I don't think the state of the team has been so dire since the Norv yeärs of the mid 1990s. There really is no hope for this team, none.

What's really funny is that S Moss will probably be named Offensive Player of the Week just because he had some monster stats.

I'm not sure why all of the surprise. I mean ... take away the trick kick TD against the Giants ... and the offense really scored 10 points, including the junk TD at the end. Last week they scored 9 points and won ... but even then, so many talked about the defense failing to get off the field on 3rd downs LOL. So no wonder why everyone is aghast that the defense gave up 19 points and ruined our chances to win 14-13.

Dumbest fans in the world shouldn't be questioning a Billionaire owner, IMHO.

Fans that believe you should win with 14 points should switch to baseball. There, you'd be right.

Ok Kazoo, you tell me why Zorn is the head guy, you tell me why all the other guys that were interviewed are not here now as the head coach?

You could say that about anyone we hired, why didn't we hire the others! They were the only one willing to come here!

As for your wanting me to make your case for you and then disprove it, pass. You need to establish your claim that no one would come here.

Ok, here it goes the list of people who were interviewed for the job:

Spagnoulo
Mora
Meeks (2 times)
Fassel
Williams
Schwartz
McDaniel

And I think there were a few others. Now I know Mora withdrew because he knew he was getting the Seattle job.

Cut Him!!! He does not know how to run out of bounds. He killed around 20 seconds late in the 4th, and we could have had at least one more last play if he would have ran out of bounds. he does this time and time again, or the occasional fumble.

You're misinterpreting disappointment for surprise. Actually EVERYONE knew the things you pointed out.

The Skins aren't establishing the run or even coming close. They had the ball 23 minutes and Portis only got 12 carries. JC had a nice game, statistically, but on the road, controlling the time of possession is way underrated. Gotta establish the run and wear down teams like the Lions on the road.
Cowboys 7- Redskins 6 (All we needed was 2 minutes of the 60)
Cowboys 17 - Redskins 0 (Way to NOT show up for the 100th anniversary)

Now the Redskins need to retire the name. Not because it's offensive to Native Americans, but because it's offensive to the players who have played in DC in the past and actually cared about the game.

I saw a lot of players marginally interested in the game out there.

I liked when the announcers were saying about Zorn that sometimes he who keeps his head when everyone around them are losing theirs...doesn't understand what's going on.

The line got owned. Really, both lines got owned. If you can't beat the Lions in the trenches, you aren't gonna win many games. I was hoping that the running game I saw against the Rams was an outlier but it appears that there are severe deficiencies in the run game. If you couple that with a very average passing attack, serious problems arise. The defense was the most disappointing thing of all, allowing the lions to control 22 minutes of the first half. Its really difficult to win that way. Kevin Smith was easily the player of the game. Stafford was pretty good to for the most part, although he made some pretty bad throws at times.

There are several ex-head coaches that are currently unemployed. Holgrem (sp?), Shanahan, Gruden, Cowher (Good god I would become sick if he came in).

Anyone one of them would be an improvement.

This is a pointless discussion, we played 3 games. Firing Zorn would be suicide for us as an organization. We'd be tossing a season and ensuring no reputable coach would come here

Wrong! Head coaches are a breed of people that thrives on challenges. What challenge could be greater than then Redskin right now?

Detroit. We have a lot of talent, I'd think if we do this right we could have a good selection of coaches who would love to come here recognizing how quickly they could accomplish it with the team we have and Snyder's going to go get anyone available they want.

Ok Kazoo, you tell me why they didn't go back to one of those guys after Spagnoulo turned the job down? All the other head coaching vacancies were taken, The Ravens got Harbaugh, the Dolphins got Sporano and Atlanta went with Mike Smith. What the tells me is that there was nothing preventing the Front Office from going back after one of the previous candidates. What head coach wants to walk into a job where the coordinators have already been hired? That's why nobody would come here, because they would be handcuffed to people they didn't have a say in hiring. I want you to tell me why that's so hard to believe, because you seem to think people were chomping at the bit to take this job.
