Wahoo McDaniels wrote:I know this was a joke, and not to be "Debbie Downer", but Reggie Roby is dead. One of my favorite punters of all time died in 2005, way to soon at the age of 44, of an apparent heart attack. You want to talk about "cash money", this guy was so good, he used to wear a wrist watch into the games so he could track his hang time.
Eerily enough, the other guy who most people have mentioned, Matt Turk, I think would probably not play for the Skins for all the money in the world. If you all remember, the papers and fans destroyed his brother, Dan, after the botched snap in the playoff game vs. the Bucs on a 51 yd FG for the win. Dan and Matt both left the Skins after that play. Saddly, Dan died later that year of cancer.
I didn't know that about RR. Poor taste on my part.
SB 17 - 22 - 26 - ??
I understand that we have signed a new punter but I also hear that Brooks has a quadriceps injury
I also am hopeful that this guy might be given another chance - not sure that anyone will pick him up but .....
This guy apparently was booming the ball in practice but as Zorn said - we need him to do it in the games

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I don't want to lock this thread because I want people to still be able to say what they want about Brooks.
But I just wanted to let you know that I have started a thread where you can post your thoughts about the Redskins signing of punter Ryan Plackemeier today.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
