There's still the matter of settling the score with the Giants. More important, there's the matter of the lesson the Giants taught the Patriots last season - the season's not over until the final whistle of the final game. I want the 'skins to be the best team in football then, not 1/4 of the way into the regular season.

Besides, I hope the "experts" call it a fluke win - keep our guys fired up!

Why would you want that? We are far better off not getting respect. Being the "best" team draws un-needed attention. Far better if nobody sees you coming.

I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape about this. The "experts" do us a favor by discounting our team.

What he said.

Being picked by the "experts" is almost a curse anyway. Remember how much press Minn. got in the preseason? They were the hot pick to contend in the NFC. How's that working out for them? ESPN Magazine picked Houston as the "hot" team this season, expecting them to turn the corner and make the playoffs. They haven't even won a game yet. Countertrey's right - games aren't won in the press, they're won on the field. Keep the disrespect coming!

Baloney! Lack of execution is a curse. Lack of heart and gall to consistently score points is a curse. Playing scared is a curse. Having a losing mentality is a curse.

Only a weak team is effected by what the experts say. Only a poor coach allows their team to get big headed. The Pats have been the creme of the crop for years and consistently did their thing.

I hope that Zorn has this team level headed. I don't care about stupid jinxes and curses, that crap is make believe.

Execution is key.

Which is why I used "almost". I'm merely agreeing with Countertrey's point - I don't care if the press is singing the 'skins' praises or not. The press is wrong as much as they're right, and it doesn't really matter in the end. The score is the only thing that matters.

It not Zorn's team getting big headed that you need to worry about. It's the increased attention which results in other teams having a little additonal motivation to beat you. Everyone guns to knock off the "best". Nobody cares about beating a pedestrian team.

This team is not good enough to shake off that kind of attention. The Patriots last year were... right up to the last game. The Redskins are just not there yet. They need some help. Being below the radar is help.

The T.O. meltdown is begining in Big D....

I couldn't wait for this to start so it can tear them apart like it tore Philly apart. Let it happen and they can fall apart while we continue to improve and win....

The bottom line is that the Redskins beat a very good tean at home, and we should all be encouraged by the job this team is doing right now.

Great job all around.
