The Giants are SO stupid

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

17-14... Uh huh... stupid...

All the way to the bank.

WOW!

Amazing, wasn't it? The Giants had the trifecta. They played well, played inspired and got some timely luck. Bottom line is the Gnats came to play and the Pats came to celebrate their perfect season. Oops! The biggest crock was Eli getting MVP. I'd have given it to the D line that absolutely pounded Brady while stuffing the run. The Giants had 3 points for so long. Had the D line not done that it would have been over and his last drives too little too late. Umenyiora spent more time in the Pats backfield then Malroney. By the time Brady got any time he'd been slapped silly.

I was rooting for that Pats having lived the last 6 years in New England and being a Michigan native and alum I had to root for Brady in particular. But I can't say it was too disappointing after the camera thing and having the NFC win a Super Bowl these days is a good thing too.

If we get deep into next season and we're alive, I'll start a "The Skins are SO Stupid" forum and see if it works for us too!

but we are still better as we showed when we played in NY in week 15 - plus they get to keep their stupid coach and idiot QB

OK, stupid coach I get. It's a classless point, since I already admitted I was wrong. And wow, this post totally sounds like a pathetic need to boost an inadequate ego. But I get it. I said the Giants were stupid for playing their players in an irrelevant game and the coach makes that call.

But what I don't get is how I said they have an "idiot QB." His coach makes the decision to play him. It's in no possible way his job to say "no." Can you walk me through the logic of how I called Eli an "idiot?"

My reflection:

The Super Bowl Champion is that team which WE defeated at their HOME a few weeks ago. You are going to have a tough job convincing me that this story could not have written with burgundy and gold all over it.

See the importance of a really good DL?

Not arguing with you here RIC and no objection to your post, you're trying to be gracious, and I appreciate that. BTW, there is no "wound." I know you mean it as an expression, but I posted an opinion on a message board and plan to continue to do so. When you do that, you'll get lumps from the uninvolved who like to sound like they knew more then they did (I am NOT referring to you).

Just as clarification though. What did you mean by I admitted it as well as I "could." Are you referring to that I still thought it was a stupid thing to do to play all their players when they had played 15 games already and their fate was already determined? I think they were ready at that point or not. I don't see any reason to believe losing at home to the Pats inspired them. Or did you mean something else, just asking.

But in Coughlin's case, he got his team ready to play on the road 4 games in a row and won them all, including against the Pats, Boys and Pack. Tampa was no slouch either. Clearly he knew how to motivate his players. I just think he had done it anyway. I'm not clear why my thinking that would mean I cannot admit more as if I should if I don't think that.

I have never liked Coughlin or Manning - had nothing to do with the Pats game at the Giants in week #17 (altho that was the thread!)

I just think that Coughlin is one of the worst motivators and coaches in the NFL and I think we will see that over time my opinion is correct in that Manning is really over-rated and not near as good as his brother. These 2 just get to me.

I also cannot believe that Manning got MVP when the reason that team won was because that defensive front never allowed Brady and the Pats to be able to get any rythym.

Everyone has certain guys that they do not or really do like - these 2 are mine to despise, happen to be on the same team and I think they will show how good they are not, next year.

Still a great game from a lot of Giants players and while I was expecting a Pats win I am very pleased that they lost and that the game was not stolen from them - the Pats lost because they were outplayed by the Giants.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Dead on. The MVP was a load. That belonged to a defensive player ALL THE WAY. I'd have voted for Tuck or Mitchell... probably Tuck. The dude was EVERYWHERE!

Once again, the press gets it wrong.

OK, since it was in the forum I obviously took it the totally wrong way. I thought it was piling on. I WAS WRONG! Dang, I have to get out of this forum. I keep being wrong here! Sure it happens, but not usually so frequently.

I thought it was a total crock Eli was MVP too, it totally should have been someone on the D. I'm with you too that it's hard to see the Pats losing as a travesty.

At least they're consistent. In this forum I'm getting a view into their world, what's it like getting it wrong EVERY TIME!
