so does any one else realize how often they fumble the ball?? im averaging like 4 fumbles a game. its crazy. and also. when you simulate a game. if the QB throws a INT. It'll show he has 1 int thrown. but the defender who picked it off will have 2 INTs. it sucks cuz when i simulate the other games. everyone ends up getting all these INTs

Fumbles are up a bit this year but I haven't had a problem with them yet. Here are my recommendations.

1. You can't play this like Madden 07, you simply cannot hit the spin button 20 times while in the whole.

2. Don't chain like special moves... Don't hit spin, stiff arm and then try to hurdle. You're going to fumble...

3. Pay attention to the fatigue, sub Betts in often.

4. Every run with CP won't be for 30 yards, you gotta be content with getting 2-4 yards a play and wearing down the defense.

Guys, playing against the CPU is going to suck. Like most games it utilizes rubberband AI that will turn your Peyton in to Leaf if you get more than a 14 point lead... Thats the developers way of making up for shotty AI and keeping the game "competitive"... IF at all possible, just play against buddies or online, it's much more enjoyable.

Im gonna throw my 2 cents into the mix here, Ive owned both the 360 and PS3, In my eyes the 360 is way better, I have sold them both and went back to the PS2, im a pure football player, and the madden's and ncaa's are so far better on the PS2. Maybe next year the graphics on the next gen systems will catch up.

That's cool.

I can see how some would prefer the older gameplay. I guess it all depends on the gameplay you prefer.

The nextgen system fixes a lot of "bugs" that were in the previous iterations.

I might be the worst Madden player ever so I really bring nothing to this discussion, I find the whole thing to be far too complicated. I was raised on Tecmo Bowl and the early '90s Maddens. But, based on what I've seen and read in this thread, I can understand why some people prefer the PS2 version.

Madden is definitely complicated but that's what I love about it. I like being able to call a play and select a specific player and alter his individul assignment to cater to my oppononents tendancies.

The main thing I hate about the PS2 version is the lack of gang tackling/advanced animation system. The current system allows for any player to interrupt any movement that may be happening. In the previous version on 360/current last gen systems, your defenders while slide off of offensive players like greased lightning if they are in an animation and go in for the TD. This year requires a bit more work and you see more realistic YPC.

It took some getting used to but they arent lying when they say this is the best Madden to debut in years. I'm a huge Madden/EA critic.

Have you guys found any trick/gadget plays in madden.

Dude, that was the first thing I did last year when we got ARL, but I've never found a single play.

Am I blind or do they just not exist in madden?

One time in 07 I did the ask madden, and one of the plays was a fleaflicker. But that was the only time I've seen it, and I have never been able to find it again. But I've never seen a ARL pass to Moss.

That be cool.

The HB pass is in there, I saw the flea flicker.

I wouldn't use either play against the Ravens UNLESS the defensive player in coverage is controlled by a human. The Ravens are complete cheese in this game, it's almost unfair.

Ray, Reed, Landry and McCalister all have ESP. The WR's tip the ball to them CONSISTENLY.

My brother got a PSP and Madden 08 for his birthday (he's 34 I'm 39). I hadn't played Madden for more than a year. I played the Skins against the Lions on whatever setting my brother had the game on, probably the default, and beat the Lions 64 to 24. I let them score the last 3 TDs so I could pad Cooley's stats. He ended up with 22 catches for 405 yards, 6 TDs and two two point conversions!

The Lions must suck, because I played the Raiders next and had a hard time getting the ball to Cooley.

A little slower than what? The 360 version is the faster version @ 60 FPS compared to 30 FPS for PS3.

Can't really knock someone's language usage when you punctuate a question with an exclamation point My 2 cents

From Google, translating to English: "He gave me a framework, my cowardice froze over my friend's house, and our cowardice conned Madden on the console. Democrats rated R was impressive, I gave myself another. However, which one do you all think is butter, the console or the post script 3"

:hmm:

If I really didn't want an answer to the question and I wanted to empashise the point, I am fine with the exclamation point over a question mark.

That's why there are rules for language usage, this isn't subjective. Thus, as a professional editor, I can say with certainty that usage of the exclamation point in this instance is wrong.
