Yes, otherwise known as the Let's Not Be Hypocritical defense. I thought he was warned, too (not that I have also used profanity after your warning in the Lounge, as he did).

If you think calling me a hypocrite is going to further your cause, go ahead.

I don't remember making you a moderator. As such, I'm not sure how you'd possibly think that you were privy to all the factors that go into making administrative decisions -- number of infractions, weight of infractions, frequency of infractions, severity of infractions... who's been sanctioned, when, why, how...

Unfortunately, your assistance isn't required, thanks.

Let's get this back on tpic - Imus...

While I agree with the "reaction" and the resulting actions that Imus brought on himself - it will be interesting to see if the same sort of principled actions are followed up as vigorously against the other mediums by the same groups that wanted Imus brought down.

Imus "business" value was in the millions but the Rap music business is measured in the billions and is primarily run by minorities who are becoming very wealthy using the same "style" that led to Imus being fired.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Yes, the witch hunt will be on. It can go to rapers and other commentators and what will be the criteria? Will it stop at words and go to content? Scary.

I advocate the "turn the dial if you don't like what you are hearing" solution.

Imus, true to form, has been quoted as saying that he can get a bigger, better deal any time...but chooses to take the rest of the summer off.
Meanwhile, Mike Francesca and Chris Russo ("Mike and the Mad Dog") have taken over the morning drivetime slot and spent their entire first day talking about...Imus.
Unbelieveable. My morning routine is disturbed by Russo's nonsense.
