I have been rooting for the Oilers throughout the playoffs. I hope they pull it out tonight.
I also hope the NHL finds away to maybe get back on tv network more readily available then OLN.

Was watching to post game stuff and it got me wondering.
Has anybody ever dropped the Stanley Cup while celebrating?

Great series! This is really huge for the Carolina/Raleigh area. Looking forward to the celebration/parade today.

Yeah! Now some of them will actually know there IS a hockey team in Carolina.
Great series... amazing last game... I'm not sure I've EVER seen a hockey game where EVERY SINGLE GUY ON THE ICE was giving it his absolute all.
... K. Adams selling his soul to block a shot and breaking his wrist in two places and still carrying on was just ONE example of the supreme sacrifice that every player on both teams made.
Doug Weight couldn't even hoist the cup with that 3rd degree shoulder separation.
Cole shouldn't even have been playing after breaking his neck this season.
True grit.
I know it's cliche and I hate to hear it, but this was one of the few instances in my armchair career where I truly thought that it was a shame that either team had to lose.
Great effort by Edmonton... 8th ranked seed pushing the cup to a 7th game after being down 3-1?
Better effort by Carolina.

Go Whalers... err... I means Canes.
Seriously, I hate the Canes, but I gotta give credit where credit is due. That arena was rocking last night. I saw the first 2 minutes and knew it was over.
Congrats NC et al.

So, the Canadian goalie won the Cup for Carolina, eh?
Ward might be the BEST goalie in the NHL today. Young kid with a great future. Does he need an gaent?

I've never watched hockey that much until this year during the playoffs. As I watched a few games, I started to get into it and really enjoyed it. My heart started to race while watching the games. It was cool. Now I'm on the bandwagon here in NC LOL. It's about time North Carolina won a championship in professional sports. I know a lot of people outside of NC say that Canada should have won it because they love hockey more. However, this is all new for us southerners and I think it's good for the NHL that it has a successful team in the south because it helps the popularity of the sport grow.
