Brunell's first fumble was not "boneheaded". Poor blocking and a swipe from behind. The second was a blunder.

I suspect that Cartwright shot himself in the foot with Joe.
I thought the same thing when it happened. I was (almost) expecting to see Broughton next. However, Gibbs put Cartwright back in the game. Let's say that Cartwright did nothing to displace Betts with his play.

What I'm excited about is something that I just didn't see at all last year...and that is that we have actual weapons on offense. I mean, last year..it just seemed like no one was going to make the big play...but now, we've got Santana Moss, Chris

ey (who emerged last year, I know...but this year he's a bigger threat), Clinton Portis (who has yet to really get started) and the 2nd coming of the 90's Mark Brunell...I mean...we're not scoring like we should...but we're moving the ball...we are oh so close...and we weren't anywhere near that last year. If Brunell keeps putting up these stats and we start translating that into wins...Brunell might actually be a threat to make the pro-bowl (I realize that's premature...but his stats are stacking up nicely).
Anyway...we've got weapons this year...and it's a breath of fresh air.

[quote="warrick holdman...can't tackle. i agree. whoever said jimoh shuld be named 50/50 is right, except for every good play there are 50 bad plays. so its really 1/50.[/quote]
there was one play in that game that illustrated exactly why Holdman is playing in front of Lavar... Trent Green sprinted out to his right, and almost the whole defense went with him... but Holdman did not even take one single step to his left, he stayed home and when Green turned and through a screen back across the field to his right... Holdman was in position and took on a blocker and forced the runner into another defender... no way Lavar could have stayed home on that play... now he may have chased the play from behind and caused a fumble, but GW has obviously opted for discipline over talent...

You brought a smile to my face, DieselFan. Thanks. Thanks so very much. But try to keep this fact on the DL, if you catch my drift.

I just want to show you guys some love for a great game yesterday. The Redskins are definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with.
That defense is solid, and the offense took advantage of what the Chiefs gave them.
Had it not been for Jared Allen having a career day and forcing 3 fumbles, things may have been a lot different.
Good luck the rest of the way!
