Um...you won't find anything about him if you keep looking in the cheerleaders galleries. :-"

I think the rumors are true, but won't be official until after the Jets game.

Looks like a done deal:

According to ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli, the Eagles are poised to add a veteran wide receiver to the roster, but it won't be Peerless Price or Peter Warrick, both of whom were released Tuesday by the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals, respectively. Instead, the Eagles huddled with veteran free agent Darnerian McCants on Wednesday, and plan to sign him after their Thursday preseason finale.

A club official said the team already has reached agreement in principle on a contract for McCants, but that he had a pass a physical exam and that there were a few other elements that had to be addressed. Additionally, coaches did not want to release a player currently on the Philadelphia roster, since McCants would not be up to speed enough to participate in Thursday's preseason game.

McCants, 27, was released by the Washington Redskins earlier this week. He is a player the Eagles staff likes, and has enjoyed some success against the Philadelphia defense, with 11 catches for 149 yards and one touchdown in four appearances. A fifth-round pick of the Redskins in the 2001 draft, McCants fell out of favor with the current Washington staff, but the Eagles feel he can provide a solid No. 4 presence.

The former Delaware State standout has intriguing size (6-feet-3, 215 pounds), presents a big target, and might in time develop into a contributor in the Eagles offense. McCants has appeared in 29 games, with three starts, and has 53 receptions for 687 yards and eight touchdowns. Beyond Terrell Owens, the young wide receivers on the Eagles roster have a combined 27 catches.

Its funny how when these cats are on our roster the media says that they suck and we have no talent. As soon as they leave they're all of a sudden a gem.

They all hate Dan Snyder. That's the main thing now. Len, Dr. Z, Peter King, ... they all hate him and they come right out and say it.

I hope that Gibbs was so down on him and his practice habits were so bad that he didn't learn much of the playbook.

Well, he answered some questions I really wanted answered.

I wrote this on Tuesday, I think. Before he actually went to Philly. I was hoping he'd get it before he agreed to a deal there. It probably wouldn't have mattered, though.

Q) Hey Darnerien, I was very disappointed but not very surprised by your release. Even though your roster status wasn’t a given heading into camp, you seemed very laid back and seemed as if you didn’t care if you were cut. Despite coach Hixon’s compliments on your improved practice habits, you seemed to be lackadaisical during practice at training camp. Did you care if you were cut? My mom and I have had a feeling for a while that you would end up in Philly if you were ever released. I am pleading that you don’t sign with Philly, Baltimore, Dallas, or New York. I know money speaks but I hope morals speak louder. I also want you to know that I will always be a fan of yours and support you wherever you go. Sundays at FedEx Field will be odd without you there. Best of luck with the rest of your career. Thanks for your love. Jake – Edgewater, Maryland

A) Whats good Jake, you saw the same thing i did and went thru. One thing

about business is that you can never let them see you sweat that gives
them
control and power over you. You should never let any man feel
they have
power over you. Yes i did care if i got cut its my profession
and being
professinal i did everything they asked me without throwing
a fit or acting out
in public. Morally psalms 118:8 sumed up say never
put your faith in man.
Also im just a laid back dude i cant worry about
what i cant control. Brother
im going to miss you and moms later...love
yall thanks for the support

Now, I'm really glad he got cut. What kind of attitude is that for a football player?
