I don't know how to respond to that since I can't even fathom where that statement could possibly come from. He has never been anywhere near the top of a successful football operation.

No, we won't even be close in that one. We'll be down by at least 3 scores.

Well, there's only 2 games left. The question is...can we score more than 1 offensive TD?

Ok, the reality of the loss just finally hit me. Time to hit the fridge for some pain relief! Will anybody be posting at all next week? Will anybody even care?

I won't and don't. I won't give a crap until next season. You can also bet that I won't be buying the Sunday Ticket again.

My thoughts exactly. I'm tired of getting raped by the NFL just to watch another Dan Snyder turd every Sunday.

I wonder if enough people stopped wasting their hard earned money on it, would it actually effect his wallet enough?

He's been near the top "successful football operations"

1.) Recruiting coordinator for Lou Holtz's Fighting Irish (which won the national title in 1988.

2.) Director of College Scouting for the San Fransisco 49ers from 1991 to 1995... (he helped draft Ted Washington, Ricky Watters, Dana Stubblefield and Bryant Young) after the 49ers won their superbowl in 1994 Vinny was promoted to Director of Player Personnel.

I mean, in Vinny's career he's gone from being graduate assistant with the Golden Gophers to being promoted to recruiting coordinator then he was hired away from Minnesota by Lou Holtz, where they went to four bowl games to the pros... another promotion... a superbowl...

Just because Vinny is a friend of Dan Snyder does not mean he's a hack who didn't get his job based on merit.

He's a skilled front office man and has a history of success and promotions. Why is there so much hate for him? He was fired by Marty because Marty wanted to run the show and he stepped back for Joe Gibbs because he's a hall of famer.

Sorry. I loathe the man. Any way that gets him out of this job is fine by me.

But where is the success here? He's been one of two constants in this decade of constant disappointment.

They've been "close" a few times but the folks in the FO are then supposed to be the ones to push the team from "close" to "legitimate title contender" and that's never happened. There's always been a major fall-off after those close seasons.

I don't know if Vinny gets the credit for 1999 but that season brought us Bailey, Jansen and Derek Smith in the draft. He also signed guys like Bruce Smith, Deion Sanders, Irving Fryar, and Mark Carrier.

In 2000 we got LaVarr Arrington and Chris Samuels.

Then Vinny was fired by Marty and when he came back he was in the background for Gibbs... you can only really count this season's transactions for or against him so let's see:

Signed DeAngelo Hall and Ryan Plackemeier he also drafted Thomas, Kelly, Davis, Tryon, Brennan, Moore, Horton, Rinehart...

Pretty good track record IMO.
