I think there is too much over reaction. The D was OK, yes the 3rd downs were disappointing, but the main problem was the pass rush. This is William's forte. If the D line can't do it alone, the blitzes will be coming.
The O's biggest problem was missing Portis. Betts didn't do it and that allowed the Vikes to go after Brunnell. Red zone is tough early with a new offense.
I can't defend Hall though. It's not this kick, it's the pattern.

The blitzes should have been coming last night. Johnson had all day to throw. Archuletta should always be blitzing on third down.

(1) Our defense was very dissapointing. Too many 3rd down conversions allowed. There is no way we can win if we keep that up.
(2) Our offense certainly was not the 'powerful' offense I was hoping to see. Why didn't Ducket get the ball near the goal line?!?!!?! Isn't that why we signed him?
(3) I hate John Hall. I hate John Hall. I hate John Hall.
I concur on all points.

We have to be able to punch the ball in when we get inside the 5 yard line. Where the hell was TJ Duckett? John Hall made 3 FGs and the longest was 27 yards. That says a lot about our red zone offense.
I don't mean to be argumentative, but did u watch the Chiefs the last few years? They were at their best in the red zone.
To be perfectly honest, no I didn't watch a lot of Chiefs games the last few seasons so I'm just going to have to take your word for it. And that's a good point but we don't have the Chiefs offensive line or a blocking back like Tony Richardson to lead the way. What we do have is TJ Duckett who never got a carry down there and an offense that completely let us down when we got inside the 10. I hope I'm just overreacting to one bad red zone performance but it's the day after the game and I feel I'm entitled.
