We can't have 4 QB's on the roster though. And if he's on the PS, he'll get picked up by someone.

This is a terrible pick with Jamon starring you in the face. OL depth, perhaps even a future starter, is far more important than a special teamer, who we wont develop and will likely cut in two years becaue we are the Redskins.

How are you qualified to say who is NFL worthy and who is not? SEVEN NFL teams since the 3rd round passed on Meredith. Including his new team Green Bay. For you to say he's a future starter or even that he is a better pick than Cody Glenn is just plain silly.

missing the point. not about Glenn's worthiness. it's about value. drafting Tom brady in the 1st round is technically stupid if you can get him in the 6th. drafting a guy that likely wasn't going to be drafted is not getting bang for your draft buck. it's compounded by the fact that it's at the expense of not addressing what is universally considered a top team need. That is not at all what the first poster said. But to your point we don't know these team's draft boards, or the process. If he had gone undrafted who says he signs with us? We saw a guy we wanted in a position we thought we could get him and we pounced. The Redskins are actually working the phones talking with other teams in in their opinion this was their chance to get a guy they wanted. To assume he's a special teamer who will be cut is as ridiculous as assuming he's blossom into a superstar who will be a household name in two years.

There's no minor leagues in football. These project picks never work out. Especially ones that aren't special athletically anyway. Matt Jones, ARE, Brad Smith, and Pat White all succeeded because they excelled at another position and were special athletically.
