Also, never leave it up to a kicker.
I know what you're doing, but it doesn't mitigate Morgan's idiocy... Indeed, the ball Robinson dropped would have changed the outcome of the game... but an ERROR is not the same thing as STUPID. Robinson will learn from his mistake... Morgan clearly has a problem with self-disipline, and will likely do it again in a similar circumstance.
If Morgan does it again, cut him loose. No doubt. However, that previous play would have been huge. Playmakers make plays. We needed that.
What suggests to you at this point that Morgan is a playmaker... I have seen nothing so far to suggest that. Playmakers do, indeed make plays. Are they still playmakers when they give back more than they gain?
I was talking about Robinson. The ball hit him nearly perfectly. He failed to make the play.
Look, I'm not trying to argue with you here. We're on the same side of things. OK?

When that crap goes on all game long ... the frustration builds. Just before the fumble, a lineman threw Fletcher to the ground and then jumped on top of him and rolled him .... no flag. This stuff was happening on almost every play.
Did you see Fletcher throw the ball at the ass that rolled him? No? The time to take a penalty was before the end of the third quarter... NOT during a drive to end the game. You cannot excuse this.
I don't think loosing your cool is a "planned event", you know? The outcome of the game was not decided on that penalty though ... the outcome of the game came on that blocked punt, and on giving up 500 yards on defense ... and the long pass that was dropped ... and refs allowing the Rams to behave like Mike Tyson, smashing defenseless receivers in the face with forearms ... and flagrant holding that wasn't called ... and at least two late hits on RG3 that didn't get a flag.
When this type of behavior is not penalized ... it's only a matter of time before control is lost. I think the Redskins did well to maintain composure .. I was expecting a brawl to break out any time.

Even worse was watching Bradford play pitch in catch with Danny Amendola while we made absolutely no adjustment. Haslett out thought himself. We are a better man to man team. Period. Play them the way we played the Saints until they PROVE they can beat us.
This zone was putrid and it didn't stop.

Would you agree that that was a result of the game plan and not the capability of our D.
Think two years ago in St. Louis when Bradford did the same thing which opened up the running lanes as well.

How about Danny and the worst "special" teams play year after year???
Today's blocked kick was for the same cause as last weeks. I went back and looked. The same hole left open by the same lineman position. No matter how great Danny Smith is supposed to be, he has sure built a history of mediocre to bad special team play here. Year in and year out, we have seen these type of plays.

Loosing your cool, indeed, is not a planned event... However, a
professional football player actually
does PLAN
not loosing his cool. It's called self discipline, and it requires one to acknowledge that "I am responsible for my behavior... no one else." Fletcher believes that. Morgan? Not so much.

I would definitely agree that its the game plan. I still think our front 7 is one of the best in the league. We all know our secondary stinks, but the talent is there on the front 7 and that should have been enough today.

2 blocked punts in a season is unacceptable, let alone 2 in two weeks and all the blocked FGs last year. The time has come for Danny Smith to be collecting unemployment checks next week!!

Does Danny Smith even coach how to block?? I mean, we can't block for our kickers, and we can't block kicks. SMH

Wow! Panthers beat the Saints 35-27. That sheds new light on our Saints win.
Clearly we are a secondary and O line away, but I think that this team will get better as the season goes along, but the coaches? Not so sure.
Shanny, I get. I beleive that he doesn't want to chuck the ball all over the place with the O line being the way it is and playing a team with excellent edge rushers. You don't want to get RGIII killed. Thus the conservative game plan earlier on by Shanny. I don't have a problem with it.
Thoughts?
