All I'm saying is, "thug" brings to mind some really specific images...
Maybe I'm unable to distance myself from the situation because of who he plays for.
I think I like to give Taylor a little more time before I just slap that label on him. Is he perfect ? Nope. Hardly a gangsta, though. I think he does what any kid his age would do... he makes stupid decisions.
Nobody said we were getting a rocket scientist when we drafted him. All they said was, you're getting a hard hitting guy who can be in three places at once.
Just what the doctor ordered, in my view. Hopefully, his youthful indiscretions don't land him in jail...particularly in Florida, where gun laws are incredibly strict, for good reason.
Sean needs a babysitter, not condemnation.

Welcome to the Board... you should have been here weeks ago, when we were all asking those questions.
Glad you finally found the site. IT IS THE BEST REDSKIN SITE ON THE WEB. BossHog put together a great message board for all fans, not just Redskins fans. He included Forums for Just the Skins, one for other teams, non-football topics and a talking smack forum for blowing off stem.
The one thing you newbies always seem to miss is the first thing you should check out......
At the TOP of the Page - At the BOTTOM of the page you can find the
button which could cause your entry onto the board to be rocky.
I know I've strayed OFF topic here but between the
button and the option to veiw post since last visit there is no way this shouldn't be at the end of the thread that was started before the story broke.....Then I get back on topic...__..

I hope you read all 45+ pages of this thread before you got to your post. (I left you in the title for that purpose, but check the start date - 2 months ago)
This is the point tha FfA was trying to make but I guess it went over your head.

Like others have said most of us have gotten past the Sean bashing and are hoping that he has learned from this and can get on with being a responsible adult, Don't get me wrong but we want him to be a hell of a saftey for us also.
I'm more of a Sean Taylor defender than a Basher.... so in response to your original post on THN, I'll answer your questions in order...
1. No he's not hanging out with Ray-Ray their from different clicks and move in different circle (don't even run into each other at the "U") maybe you should worry about Rolle they're pretty tight
2. Gun charges..... Not sure if that's a question but here hoes anyways.... Yep that's what's on the docket as of today.
Fact is we don't have a firm trial date, the State's best witness is again a co-defendant. Taylor says there was NO GUN he says they didn't even have the baseball bat.
3. Cut or Trade him... He's the best player on the defense and the NFL hasn't even hinted at penalties or fines. He's one year into his rookie contract (where you gonna find a S of his caliber to replace him after eating the cap hit)
4. Too historic for what... The Washington Redskins really are a historic franchise and wasn't made by 1 man and won't be brought down by 1 man.

I wouldn't call him a thug. Some people have big egos and they have a hard time keeping quiet if someone steps on their toes. Ignorant, egoistic, and selfish; but I don't think that he is going to go out robbing, stealing, and shooting people. Hopefully, he's just at the stage where he is trying to prove his manhood to himself and everyone else. Hope everything works out for him...GO SKINS!!!

Seriously. This may be nitpicking on my part, but it stinks to approach what appears to be a "new" thread,only to find out that it's been merged and the name's been changed. I miss the old title.

It's great to see that Taylor is quickly making us forget about his offseason problems with his play in camp. Sounds like he's gonna have another good year.
