once again JP, i have never asserted that gibbs has a personal dislike of ramsey. once again i shall state that i am talking about his PLAYING. the way ramsey PLAYS FOOTBALL.

secondly, gibbs gave other reasons for taylor and mccants. taylor was obviously a wacky situation with the DUI and all. also, gibbs only activates 4 WRs, and darnerian doesn't play special teams, so it leaves him out (unfortunately- i love mccants. i think he should deactivate brunell and activate darnerian).
additionally, the 4 WRs we have activated are playing at least decently (although not playing to their abilities). if one of them were playing like absolute garbage, and gibbs still refused to bench him and play mccants, we might similarly deduce that he thinks darnerian sucks. that is not the case with the WRs, but it is with the QBs.

when you only throw for 5.19 yards a pass and run for 4.0 yards a carry with portis, and you are 3rd and long, you have to run, an incomplete pass is worse then a 4.0 yard pick up. Either way we are screwed on 3rd and longs. With tupa's punting skills, we should run it instead of heaving it long for an int(3rd down punt) we'll have better field possition.

First of all, Taylor didn't start, but that is different from being benched. And, if you recall, he was sick and missed practice that week, keeping him out of the packages that were used to open the game.

We cut rasby because he couldn't block, and brunell hasn't improved. Gibbs is looking for other answers to an obvious problem of QB. Changing the line won't make brunell better, its just delaying the inevitable.
