"First of all this thread is not about Drew freaking Henson. Second of all I suggest you show some respect Patrick. This thread is about Lavar's character, you turned it into something about his talent. He is talented, and unlike LT, Lavar hasn't quite seen his star shine. He will. And that was my point. He is good and you will soon see great.

My last point is what joy could you possibly get by bashing a man who just lost a very close relative, had surgery, and is dealing with his team not doing so hot? You are a big man Patrick, I'd love to see you make these comments to Lavar's face? Having met him, I'm sure you never will."

I never brought up Drew Henson. And I am not questioning Lavar Arrington's character. You guys are. All I am saying is that his reputation exceeds his production. You must obviously agree with me because you keep telling me that he hasn't "seen his star shine." So what is it? Is he really as good a player as his reputation, or is there some reason he hasn't played up to his physical talent? You can't have it both ways and say that he isn't overrated, yet also offer up excuses for him.

And maybe you can explain something to me. How does you having met Arrington equate to you knowing anything about me? I have not questioned anyones character in any of my postings on this board. Not a player's and not another poster's. In your last few posts you have essentially called me an idiot, an a**hole, and gutless. [/quote]

First of all CHD Jansen until recently was not walking without the aide of crutches. His injury is more severe then Arrington's. So when he is able you can expect to see him on the sidelines cheering on his team as well. I know you were not attacking his character, just thought I'd tell you the difference there.

Patrick I never called you any names. I am just a little frustrated that a cowboy's fan has to come to a Redskin's board and question any aspect of our players. Me having met Arrington mean's that I have in person, seen how big and intimidating he is.

My other comments have nothing to do with him being overrated. They have to with the fact that you have not even yet seen all Arrington can do. There is a difference. I am saying he will get better. That does not mean he isn't living up to potential now. He will far exceed expectations this season. And that is my point.

To the best of my knowledge, the decision for an injured player to be on the sidelines rests with the head coach. I don't know if this situation has anything to do with it, but one of the reasons why Joe Gibbs and Joe Theismann had a falling out, was because Gibbs wouldn't let Theismann be on the sidelines while he was in crutches after his leg break. Theismann was not happy about it. Maybe if Janson isn't on the sidelines, it's because people above him think it's not a good idea.

Just a thought.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

You are probably right JP. I for one was yelling at Lavar through the tv when I saw him jumping up and down during the game he was in street clothes on the sidelines. I just kept thinking about him reinjuring himself.

Lavar Arrington is a great assett to this team... without his absence on the field we'd have never found out how much better than him his back-up is.

LEMAR MARSHALL FOR 2004 STARTING LB!!!

LaVar is an ANIMAL!!! I can't wait for him to come back! He's already dedicated this season to a deceased relative and has vowed to "tear up the league" when he gets back. I for one would not wanna face a fired up LaVar Arrington!
