Because if they made the clothes for everyone, it would just be another clothing brand, and probably never would have done as well. By selling "black-only" clothes they actually created a mini-monopoply. It was a brilliant business idea...

The concept of FUBU was a good one but there clothing sucked. The did not know how to progress with their clothing like Sean "P diddy" Comb did with his (Sean John) label or Russel Simmons was able to do with Phat Farm and Jay Z with ROCOWEAR.

FUBU tried to stay strictly "ghetto". There vision was too small and narrow minded. The did not think about the young hip hop crowd that had to transend from the business world during the day to the cool world at night or when they were off of work.

DISLCAIMER: THIS LESSON ABOUT HIP HOP FASHION 101 HAS BEEN A PUBLIC SERVICE ANOUNCEMENT BROUGHT TO YOU BY GAMBIT. OH AND THERE ARE NO SIDE EFFECTS.

I could give less of a crap about Tuna abreviating the name, but it IS insensitive to imply that Japanese people are all sneaky tricksters by saying that a surprise play is a Jap Play...

It would have been equally offensive to say surprise plays were Japanese plays... the abbreviation has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT...

Come on IS it not insensitive to care more about what the people of one country did to ours. It was sneaky, it was a surprise attack that killed tons of people! If a Japanese person called me an an "A-Bomb-Merican" it wouldn't offend me. They are called Japs because it is short for Japanese. The only reason it is insensitive now is because of Pearl Harbor! It sucks that alot of our soldiers died, but they were pretty dang smart at eliminating the Navy's battleship fleet. If we hadn't Atom Bombed Hiroshima Japanese people would be calling sneak plays - Jap plays. Eye for an eye in my book, if you don't like the word tough. If you don't like what somebody says or calls you, kick their butt, if you can't live with it!
Why should we be so sensitive to the feelings of people that killed Americans! Brits, Aussies, Poles, Kiwis, Yanks it's all just a name! What happened to Sticks and Stones! Come on people Grow Up!

if you feel the need to pull the race card, you're probably a racist. My 2 cents

ps i wore and still wear FUBU. i like my clothes big and baggy, and FUBU works perfectly.
