Who cares already. The point was and is, the guy is looking around and seeing people writing about how much they like Bugel, and he doesnt like the idea of a Redskins fan enjoying himself, so he gets on here and writes "what has he done lately"
its not about football. read between the lines. its about pulling your chain and cleverly calling it a "discussion".
its pointless. i mean who cares about the offensive line coach now anyways. its J-U-N-E! and you're talking about the merits of an oline coach. please. it aint even about football or redskins. id rather talk about the jump rope competition in sioux city.
its like saying greg williams stunk as a head coach........what does he know about defense...when's the last time he's been relevant?...........dumb...........wait till august......then bring it up
Chalktalk, I think it is only "pulling your chain" because you are leaving it dangling for him.

chalktalk, so, an intelligent conversation can't be started by a puke fan because you see it that way? GET REAL. curveball has contributed way more than what your whining has to this board. he has intelligent things to add to post and good post that he starts himself, he didn't come in and say "bugel will fail just like he has everywhere but washington", but simply asked "what we thought as washington fans about his success elsewhere and why we were obsessed..." he made no insults as you did. you're the flamer, not him. if you want to take this to e-mail, PM or smack, thats fine, but i won't argue here why your an idiot, if you choose to keep doing so, then you'll enjoy your time off i'm sure.
btw, it IS football, and if YOU don't like it, then why don't you go "jump rope" in sioux city?

ChalkTalk, name-calling aside...(Hellhog, you amaze me...)
What's your bag, man ? Is it a prejudice based on a poster, or his team of choice ? I thought Curveball (Dallas fan or not) asked a legitimate question, and I posted my opinion. Can't you just do that, like I did ? Why does it have to go back to his team ?
Believe it or not, you're tangling with a Mod on this board with Hailskins 666. You won't find a more dyed-in-the-wool B&G fan than this guy. Stand with him, and answer the original topic question without the vitriol. Curveball will either agree or disagree, but if you've made your case in a factual and concise manner, he'll respect you.
So, too, will the rest of us.

I just told [assistant head coach-offense] Joe Bugel that he's a great coach. I can see everything that's going on with the offensive lineman and how he's got them cranking right now. It's going to make us all better. Obviously I can't say enough about Gregg Williams and the coaching staff. We have a great defensive coaching staff."
Q: What has impressed you most about Bugel?
A: "It's very obvious--he tells the [offensive linemen] what they're getting with each pass rusher. When the linemen come up to the line, they approach blocking differently. I've watched the way they block the bigger defensive ends, block the bigger guys in the middle like the nose tackles--it's a different technique than blocking the speed rushers. They're using different techniques for everybody. They're just trying to emphasize that one thing that works with one pass rusher may not work with another pass rusher. It's very evident. I'll have to step my game up a little bit [in practice]."
From Lavar's interview with Redskins.com... Just wanted to bring this tread back to where it started. Just another reason why Buges is the man (and coach!).
Chalktalk - you should chill. This board's about fun discussion re: Redskins. Like I said earlier, bring it the Smack forum if you want to call someone out or personalize your posts.

Whether the line is big or small, the object remains the same. Block the guy in front of you, the guy to the left of you or the guy to the right of you. Joe Bugel is the master of blocking fundamentals and his infectious attitude makes his players over-achieve for him. His head coaching is of little relevance, and in San Diego he had no where near the talent he had in Washington in the 80's or now. We have 3 pro bowl caliber o-lineman here (Jansen will get his this year or next - mark my words).
We will be run blocking a lot more this year which not only makes an o-lineman happy but makes pass blocking easier thanks to the vaunted play action passing game. In short, Coach Bugel will correct the technical flaws and will breath his do-it-or-die attitude into the "Dirtbags" like he did in the old days. Lennie Freidman will look into the eyes of La'Roi Glover and say, "Guess what big man?, 50 Gut coming right at you!". This time it will be 10 straight times.
Good question from someone who didn't understand the Redskins legacy, but the short answer is, you will get your answer at least twice this season.

Yeah and then when the ball is hiked Dallas will collapse the O-line and Portis will be stopped for a 2 yard loss.
Lennie Freidman isn't he on the Simpsons.
